We wanted grit and we got it. Finding a way to win is special. Geelong looked overconfident and had to raise a level (with some help from our own guys and the umps) to get ahead. Gives us some encouragement going into the bye.

If we can keep it close, we can show some grit and grow some confidence.

We had a nice run of wins while oppo coaches have been working us out. Then with a few injuries drop in effort and form it looks bad in a month. Coaches need to find something else and build the group up again - but I don't think there's anything to say the players have issues with Kingers.

I think we both agree when it comes to his suitability as sub.

I don't see how Thomas makes sense as sub. Peatling is the most versatile option. I disagree that his pressure and contest work doesn't stand out. He really gets stuck in for a young, undersized player.
