See ya Bolton. We’re done watching players not have a clue what they’re doing and go slow all the time. **** the defence. All our running. Free wheeling saints beat us easily. Score line flattered us.
Watch how the seniors of saint kilda do this to our firsts all day. It’ll look like a training run. Down hill skiing at its best. No one chasing. Lobbe and Phillips are a waste of a list spot. I’d prefer a small ruckman. As soon as they put a more mobile player in the middle we lost.
How shit are both Phillips and Lobbe. Playing against no ruck letting the ball fall out the back into the middle of the ground constantly to a sandi mid. Where the **** are our mids.
What if we lead all four with 10 minutes to go and get run over in all four. Maybe in 1 of them the umpires pay 30-7 free kicks in the oppositions favour. Maybe a last minute error by Dow and we lose by 5 points. Would you still think the same.
I’m not bringing it up to share the comparison with Brisbane just thought I’d mention there’s people out there that truly under value our list despite most players that leave Carlton turn out to be superstars.
Let’s wait and see on that one. Re: stack/stocker
I’m not adding another tall forward to mcgovern McKay or Curnow (Kerr in vfl) as they’ve all shown glimpses. They’re in their 4th/5th years and will need time. Lukosius and kings aren’t taking a spot off any of them right now. They’d barely get a...
Carlton didn’t need them. Stack wasn’t on anyone’s table and I’m still not convinced. He gets a lot of media attention because of his story but he’s got a long way to go.
Edit: as does stocker. But they’ve actually performed similarly so far. But stocker not getting the storyline that stack is.
I wouldn’t do that trade even if you chucked in another first rounder. But what does stocker have to do with pick 43. I wouldn’t take anyone picked after stocker in replace for him right now at Carlton. I’d probably only pick 5 players picked in front of him too.
Walsh
Rozee
Smith
Duursma...
St kilda dickhead on main board (comparing Carlton and Brisbane rebuild) thinks Marchbank wouldn’t get a game at any other AFL club and was not worth pick 15. Lol. I rebutted with we got more than Marchbank for pick 15 and yes he’d play for nearly every AFL club. At saints he’d be their number 1...
Easy to say after the fact though. Carltons clear evidence in video form showing them looking at stocker as early as 11. One the phone regularly to Adelaide very early. Saints offered up their future first for the same deal with Adelaide and they turned it down. Adelaide wants duursma at 19 but...
I actually think the setterfield dropping has a lot to do with the mental side of the game after his injury. He’s been ripped apart in the post game according to a few on carltons bigfooty page. Off field and his preparation hasn’t been up to scratch. He’s obviously coming from a long way back...
I’ve got no issue with Marchbank. Imo he plays for every AFL team if they had him. You’re kidding yourself if you think he wouldn’t be playing instead of Roughead right now who got thrown away by the dogs. He was amazing v Collingwood two weeks back. 23 disposals. 9 intercept marks. He’s a gun...
Combined AFL averages:
Will setterfield v Nathan Krueger
Ouch...... if you are okay with maths. Just add another 0 to the right hand column of Nathan Krueger’s stats to calculate the full value of the current pick exchange.... ouch indeed.
Setterfield >>>>>> Krueger + Imaginary future player.
Nathan Krueger. Came from state league where he wasn’t doing much to continuing to do nothing. Averaging 5 disposals in Geelong vfl side. Plus a future second who has yet to exist let alone play a game. Could be the next z Merrett or the next Patrick MacArthy.
Future second plus pick 43 state league player (yet to play a game btw). Future second got back to Adelaide from GWS. what’s the problem with setterfield. ACL in 2018. Played 4 games this year suspended for 2 weeks for dangerous tackle. Touted as pick 1 in front of McGrath in 2016. It’s a super...
But at least you can defend the boot kicking from a defensible position. Lol.
I do feel that throughout history there is not many examples of teams NOT coming good while stock piling talent or early draft picks. The FA period of the AFL has allowed teams to stay up for longer. But it will also...
Someone making sense. I like it. Absolutely agree. When your core strength is Cripps plus about 8 21 and under agers it’s going to be a lot of this early. Until they believe they are AFL footballers and get hardened bodies. Cuningham, McKay, Weitering, Silvagni Curnow (injury holding him back)...
According to HS both hawks and Richmond wanted Stocker. Richmond’s first pick was at 20 I believe. No?? They could of easily had stocker much higher.

Mcgovern, Lang, Gibbons, Newman, Kennedy. It’s began to turn. The Adelaide first rounder will be used for another player like papley or similar I reckon. Free agency will be key for Carlton 2020. I don’t expect to see any more losses like north and GWS. Attitude based losses are hopefully past...
I suspect this is going to be a similar game to the north/GWS One. Crowd the midfield, tag Cripps and run. Saints have the cattle and the bodies to do it. Similar game plan. And they’re in better form. saints went to GWS a few weeks back and lost by 44. They got blown out early like we did but...
You’ve finally broken me carlton. I’m giving up on big footy. Can’t be spending so much time on something that’s not paying me back. I’ll still be there supporting the blues but my investment will be much smaller for a while.
