Freo has an absolute gem in Josh Treacy. We obviously have one in Sam Darcy.
On paper our team has more experience and should be better but I can easily see Freo passing us if they have Treacy on the park for the full year and Amiss comes on.
Our trade and draft period got us nothing that...
Haven’t seen much about Cooper in any of the reports. I’ve been away all preseason but if anyone gets a decent look at him in match sims I’d love some insight on how he’s been going? I liked him in the juniors but was probably more impressed when he played as a bullocking marking forward than...
I would be trying to rotate Bont forward more for his seasons longevity. He had Brownlow worthy games last year but also games where stats were better than impact. He’s one of the few that can genuinely add anywhere in the ground and I’d like to see Kennedy and Sanders get more opportunities...
The giants could/should potentially have 2 premierships. Outplayed by a team desperate for success in 2016 and really choked it up last year. They’ll be thereabouts in 2025 you would think. I’d actually quite like to see them win a flag. The players that have stuck fat deserve one.
How the hell did Geelong get what they did for Tim Kelly? Out of contract, nominated a club. Are they just literally better at poker than every other club which seems to be playing with cards face up? I hate them but you have to admire their ability to maximise every trade no matter which...
I’m not sure any of the comments are really putting him down. It’s more commentary about behaviour that could be an issue and a general hope that he will be ok and a solid team player moving forward. Stringer isn’t at his 3rd club without reason.
If you had a choice, which F1 do you take:
Melb
Collingwood
GC
Essendon
Port Adelaide
Geelong
All could arguably get tabled in a pick swap scenario as GC want back in and Geelong and Essendon will be eying the talls available early on tonight.
We are probably waiting to see if Essendon pop their heads over the parapet with a Future 1st somehow involved. Given we have a second pick straight after West Coast we should absolutely be seeing if we can max value something here. I’d still like Moreas or Davis but they’ll take a tall for sure.
Or we could look to take Shanahan and send Naughton down back. I really like Shanahan. Was great in the Dons VFL stint. I get we are stuffed with talls but competition is a good thing and we can take Gross to round out.
They could probably sell the next pick for another 1st rounder. I would think someone would want Shanahan enough to pay it. Port maybe? Otherwise they may just take him themselves and complete their tall forward bingo card. He’s had a very good year.
I think the issue is it’s pure desperation. They’ve stuffed up their list profile over so many years they have had to go balls deep into a tall and have sold the farm to do it. It’s a huge huge cost however you look at it. Not even North’s board would believe their list will be finals bound...
Richmond’s team just picked the eyes out of it.
Unbelievable group even with the picks they had. I love that they got Faull and Armstrong where they did and Trainor is a bargain if his concussion propensity can be mitigated.
A+++ to their team. Doesn’t mean all the players work out but...
I still think Hynes and Moraes are perfect list fits. Give me Oliver instead of Dattoli and I’d go to bed very very happy with those picks tomorrow night. Hynes is being massively underrated by many on here. Kid knows how to find the goals and I think he has the skills to make the jump.
I’m not fussed about the 4th pick. We get 2 really good cracks at the start of round 2 and then one swing for the fences at the bottom of the 9th! So much better than where we started coming into this draft a month ago 👍
