Really happy with Langford, but I agree. There is something about Draper that is just special.
Loved Melbourne's two picks.
I wanted Lindsay at our pick 12.

So if LD-U leaves North as an FA at end of next season and North get Band 1 .... how does that work if they don't have Rd 1 draft pick to attach it to?

Would it default to being at the end of Round 1 or does it attach to the pick that Richmond now has?

The latter. It's still the pick tied to North's position.

it goes behind the now Richmond pick, however i believe he is a restricted free agent, therefore north can match any bid from whoever gets him and force a trade for a bigger sum, considering from next year you can trade picks 2 years in advance

Yeah, he's available for 2025 R1+2 2026 R1 + R2 2027 R1+ R2. We'll give you something back so AFL ticks it off, maybe 2027 R3.

You can have him, though I'm sure he'd prefer Hawthorn!

Good luck North matching any sum when they have a bunch of young top 10 picks they will need to satisfy in the coming years

they just have to match it at the time to force st kilda or hawthorn into a trade during next offseason, that's the purpose of matching it, not to keep him but to force whoever to pay up and pay up a lot.

I told some bloke on here a week or so ago clubs could come for our last pick of night 1.
All the hype is around p1 of N2 but clubs could get a jump on that with the last pick of N1.
Thanks North.

Was very surprised Trainor went as early as he did. Thought he would go mid 30s onwards. Must admit I don't like the pick at all from a Richmond point of view.
Have a feeling you would have chosen another overrated small midfielder with that pick instead for Essendon ;)

Is it because they have Gibcus who's also had a lot of trouble getting his body right?

I respect the pick from Richmond. They're in the best position to take a chance on a high risk high reward guy given they've also gotten some more sure things.

Well it hasn’t. He was a top 5 pick before clubs found out
No he wasnt, he was being reported as a top prospect in the media, but so was every other gun KPP and look how far they all slipped. Dont make shit up because you read some posts
