I wish they stopped with the "take the full 5 minutes to make their pick" that a lot of clubs do.

I'm happy to pile on Richmond but I'm 99.9% sure that this is all forced onto the clubs by the AFL and/or Fox. None of the clubs with top ten picks are actually taking five minutes to decide and just happening to make their decision when the interview wraps up, and Richmond certainly didn't need five more minutes here after having nearly 24 hours to make a pick.

In the first round yes but I was under the impression that was not the case in the second round and later?

They’ve had 24 hours to work it out.

They obviously knew who they wanted to take. Just waiting to see if any clubs pick up the phone and offer something too good to knock back, which is the correct strategy.

The Eagles were slammed for what they did through the trade period, but they've made up for it via the draft IMO.

Allan and Shanahan is a fantastic duo IMO, keen to see how they develop.

His disciple, Dimma demanded the same in Rioli and, by extension, Dimmas disciple (McQualter) did exactly the same at WCE by targeting Baker and Graham.

West Coast had tried for years to get Baker in, well before McQualter, or even Clarke, joined the club.

Depending on pick 45, we've cashed in Jagga Smith for Bo Allan, Liam Baker, Matt Owies and pick 45 (along with exchanges of picks in the 60s).

It ain't half bad in the end.

I know. Can play both ends not just a forward maybe that’s the plan or maybe he was just too good to refuse depth is a good thing anyway
