Player Watch Rookie Pick #45 (2015) - Dan Houston

I’m surprised no-one has commented on/connected the statement “Ideally he’d love to have more Indigenous teammates…” Maybe this is one of the reasons Melbourne are so keen to get Dan to their club. Dan would have been in our indigenous program since he was drafted and worked with Pauly...

Player Watch Pick #14 (2019) - Miles Bergman

Glad to hear he’s valued internally, I wish we had a couple of Miles in the team. He’s just so versatile, I could also see him playing as a roaming forward in the Cameron mould. I think one of the reasons that he’s not rated externally is that he is listed as a midfielder and his stats/ranking...

Player Watch Jason Horne-Francis - You were always one of us

So these are the ratings that Cornes & Whateley use to prove that Ken is a master coach with a team of spuds. I didn’t know that Jaidyn was still playing.

Player Watch Rookie Pick #45 (2015) - Dan Houston

Before Todd’s most recent concern, I was wondering if Melb would have been interested in both Dan & Todd. We had some good wins without Todd in the team and a change may do him some good. Melb gets two very smart footballers with excellent field kicking & Port get 2-3 first round picks in 24/25...

Player Watch Pick #14 (2019) - Miles Bergman

I value Miles higher than Dan, Dan reads the play well and sets the play up from half back. But Miles is the quintessential swingman, he did a great shut down on Cameron last year and then kicked three in a quarter against GWS. I also think that he is a smart footballer who learns well and is...

Toast Kyle Chalmers - Port Adelaide Ambassador

It was an amazing swim, Pan had a gap from the beginning & they just couldn’t catch him. Total of 0.02 between 2nd & 4th.

Opinion Port Board 2024 Paris Olympics Thread

Outstanding performance by the French swimmer Leon Marchand last night, two gold medals in 200m butterfly & backed up in 200m breaststroke (Olympic record). The crowd was going nuts in the butterfly as he mowed the leader down, and in the breaststroke he had a good lead from the start. I found...

Her final event will be the Kayak Cross event (finals on 5th Aug), new event for this Olympics - looks like organised chaos, should be a great watch.

Opinion Sack Hinkley 11 - Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest

More so I realised I was in a toxic relationship, and I needed to move on for my mental health. Funny enough that’s why I left my first wife. The last time I got a dopamine fix from a Port game was 2021 1st final against Geelong and then two weeks later the “wouldn’t change a thing game”.

Opinion Port Board 2024 Paris Olympics Thread

What the hell are Brisbane going to do about the other event locations?? The rowing/kayaking arena in Paris is 45 min to an hour by train/bus from the city centre, it cost a bomb to build it & I believe the one built for Sydney is no longer used. Are they going to get Davo & Sons construction...

Opinion Sack Hinkley 11 - Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest

After cancelling my membership years ago, I now spend parts of the season travelling as I know I won’t have to save money for finals. Experiencing the euphoria on night one of the swimming Titmus & girls 4 x 100 relay and then Fox wining gold at kayak slalom made me pine for the good old days...

Opinion Port Board 2024 Paris Olympics Thread

Two days onto the games and have seen three gold & two silver performances. Just got back into Paris for a late dinner after watching Jess Fox take gold in women’s slalom - it was the most outstanding individual performance I have seen live. Last night it was the Titmus & women’s 4 x 100...

    List Mgmt. List Management 2024-25

Would Lemmey at Carlton be a consideration? Same draft as Scully, initially a highly rated SA jnr but dropped away through his draft year, he’s stuck behind Curnow & McKay. Not sure how he’s developing.

Toast Kyle Chalmers - Port Adelaide Ambassador

Congrats Kyle on a silver in the men’s 4 x 100 relay tonight, the yanks just had too much of a lead to reel in. Good luck for Wednesday. Go Ports!!

    Player Watch Jeremy Finlayson

Is there a road map that he could be placed on a long term unavailable list (like an injury list) that he remains on the playing roster but is listed as unavailable due to “personal reasons” his wage would be excluded from the salary cap and we could draft a player to replace that roster...

Player Watch Pick #12 (2018) - Zak Butters

100% this. The ball was in play, you are allowed to bump/block another player legally if the ball is within 5m. Boak jumps to intercept/block a high hand ball & gets his ribs broken but play on/no fine all within the rules. Should be raised by the media but they won’t.

Player Watch Rookie Pick #45 (2015) - Dan Houston

Commentators last night were enjoying Dans kicking in the first half, I think it was Dunstall saying that he was the best kick in the AFL. With the noises they were making when a kick pinpointed a Port player, a cold shower was in order..

Player Watch Welcome to Port Adelaide Esava Ratugolea, Finally

Esava was drafted as an athletic forward/ruck project, Geelong tried over several years to work on his football IQ. Eventually they moved him back as it is easier to teach defensive work. The problem is in a good system he looks competent, but in what ever the hell system port uses he struggles...

Opinion Sack Hinkley 11 - Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest

You missed the point completely. Why would a good player come to Port with the coach & football dept and Hinkley apologists as a whole now saying well you can’t expect to play finals or win a premiership as they are hard.. Grundy & Dunkley both had options to come to Port but went elsewhere. We...
