North Melbourne must good based on those CD rankings, oh wait they still suck.

Horne-Francis is our best player, yet half their team is apparently better than him. Why are they not top?

Where is this data from?
Players from bottom 3 teams + Port
Wheelo Ratings has the champion data stuff. Thats how our top players compare to North, Richmond, WC, for the season.

The rest isn't much better. Mitch Georgiades (who is eligible for these 22 and under lists) was rated below Jaidyn Stephenson etc.

So these are the ratings that Cornes & Whateley use to prove that Ken is a master coach with a team of spuds. I didn’t know that Jaidyn was still playing.

To much weighting on uncontested disposals, rebound from 50 and hand balls received. If more weight was put on Clearance, Score involvements, Tackles and Contested possessions you would have a more accurate read on individuals influence on their respective teams.

Like anything, they make the data tell their narrative

They generally use the same criteria for these lists as the 22under22 team. The criteria for that team is the players must be 22 and under for entire season including finals. Mitch Georgiades turns 23 on Grand Final day.

But the ratings are still crap. Hoyne actually mentioned on SEN that they've actually changed up the rating system this year.

Jake Riccardi had like 4/5 goals one game and was rated the worst player on the ground by Champion Data

Jase was amazing in the first half. I feel like he dropped off a bit in the second. Probably still 3rd best behind Butters and Sweet though.
