Meh, I just don't see caminiti as a intercept defender. Ari is the long term option

Left field idea here... Rather than trade Membrey, put him down back in Battles position. Ratten used to throw him back towards the end of quarters to stop red-time goals and he would regularly take multiple intercept marks

Autopsy Round 24, 2024 - Saints defeat Boos

Has anyone else noticed the number of Blues fans commenting on various other threads about how much we stuffed up by winning this game and dropping down the draft order? I think this game (and losing to the saints in general) really pissed them off lol

    Coach 2022 Coaching

Whenever you hear a member of the 09/10 teams talk about the culture of the club at that time, they always bring up the fact that there were strong leaders around that set the bar high for was expected by the playing group. This ethic was instilled into the young Riewoldt, Dal Santo, Montagna...

I like your reasoning, but is Bytel a bit same-samey as Steele/Crouch/Ross. Gresh adds a real point of difference to the midfield. Maybe Hunter Clark can free Gresham to the forward line?

Then the stage is set, because North Melb are closely following the Gold Coast playbook: Winning stuff all games over multiple seasons Early pick wants to leave soon after being drafted Desperation for results could see them do something stupid

yep, what a debacle 2013 - 3 picks in the top 20 (including pick 3) + billy longer a top 10 pick from only 2 years earlier 2014 - 3 picks in the top 22 (including pick 4) And now Dmac and Billings is all that we have to show from that. I would question how much of this is down to poor...

There are plenty of reasons Players don't want to come to North, But this is not one of them
  16. Senor Ding Dong

List Mgmt. 2022 Trade Thread - Part III

Yep North's poor form in the last few years coupled with the fact that they were already a smaller club is pushing them dangerously close to GC/GWS territory. They will need to overpay players to entice them them across/ keep them on. If we continue to be a mid table team for a few more years...

I would seriously consider matching Geelongs offer for Bowes plus another year based on performance triggers. Whatever it takes to get him to agree to come over. You dont get very many opportunities for top 10 draft picks like this

I'm surprised that anyone can guess what position we will be in in the next few years. Here's what my thoughts were at various times of late: end of 2020 - we should be playing finals for the next few seasons mid 2021 - WTF! here comes a bottom 4 finish end of 2021 - Actually we are playing...

After the way they treated Adam Treloar, I dont blame DeGoey for being careful about any clauses in his contract that would allow them to kick him to the curb if it suits them

What are the chances that we pull out the race for Bowes because we need the money to chase Degoey, and then he decides to stay at Collingwood

If the rumors are true that our club is actively pushing him out the door, that may be what they accept. I really hope we keep him, he has so much potential, just needs a season without any unlucky freak accidents

more salary cap space = better players is too simplistic a way to view it. Players are drawn to combination of salary, success (or perceived future success) and club culture. You can have all the cap space in the world but still not have the top players want to come to you. We reportedly still...

Exactly. We should either pay part of his contract and get a decentish pick back OR just keep him. Trading him for a late pick achieves nothing aside from giving us more salary cap space that we have no need for.

Just polled equal 7th in last nights BnF (equal 5th last year). Sure, he has his deficiencies but he still makes us a better team. I will be very disappointed if the club lets him go for a late pick
