When Evans rushed the behind that became a goal.....

it was to the scoreboard end of the ground formerly known as Princess Park ... third quarter I think. In fact, do yourselves a favour and get a hold of that game, because IMO, it's in the Top 5 Eagle games ever. It took the best individual effort i've EVER seen by Kouta to beat us that day* ...

spot on ... that role first, then resting as a FP / HFF where he is still dangerous. Of course given how stretched our defensive resources are right now, he will end up down there against Port IMO. Just break out the tape of the Kangas game last season at Subi for those of you who doubt. In a...

    Ins and outs?

I think I'm the only person on this board who still has faith in his abilities, when fit ... forget last season, he had ankle surgery about six weeks before the seaosn and never got on track, and then this injury came at the worse possible time for him this year, on the eve of the real stuff...

    Jako's game

OK, so on one side we have the fact that Jako is still contributing to the team, and on the other we have that he is in essence, keeping Johnson out of the team and learning to ply his trade at CHF ... call me old fashion, but at this stage, this is quite simple for me ... we must persist...

    Ins and outs?

Stupid nerd box, just wrote a whole post that didn't get posted ... main jist was ... I'd be more than happy to see Tredrea line-up at CHF against Lynch than against any of our players at FF, lets hope Williams is not as on to the whole fact we have no FB to cover a Tredrea-type as opposed to...

    Wow

Re: crowd numbers I will guarentee you that the Eagles love the idea of having even more walk-ups then that and every eagles supporter should to. The problem with having stadiums that are all ticket is how do you keep people without tickets REALLY interested in your club as opposed to a...

    Sheahan's Comments

What's the problem with having a small forwad who kicks that many goals? the reason he kicks so many goals is that he is very very tough to match-up on, and lets get this straight, as opposed to a lot of other small forwards who have kicked huge amounts of goals over single seasons, Fido has...

    Paul Johnson stepping up?

At the risk of seeming like a band-wagon jumper, I've been thinking about this for sometime ... mostly because I'd like to see Howser develop more as a Tarrant roaming around HF as opposed to being restricted to the goal-square. If he ever does fill out his potential, I think it's too much to be...

    Sheahan's Comments

These are obviously the two biggest questions ... Personally, we would have to be unlucky with injuries once again for our midfield to be hurt as badly as what it was at the end of last season. Embley, Fletcher and Gardiner all at the same time. Any team in the league would struggle when taking...

    Port Game - Payback !!

Re: Re: Re: Port Game - Payback !! I remember the Eagle Eye stating he was state 400m champ and also dabbled in rowing, which he had to quit because he was putting on so much muscle, it was slowing him down! let's face it, deep down, in those thoughts you don't like to talk about, and...

    Paul Johnson stepping up?

as a side note, I'd still think we are wasting Sampi's sublime skills by leaving him in the FP, I'd be more inclined to push him up the ground ... perhaps there is a role for Adkins as that other crumbing small though? thegur

So where do you expect us to finish in 2004?

Re: Re: So where do you expect us to finish in 2004? as long as you say something CONSTRUCTIVE, IMO that's OK ... i'm a lover not a hater :) on to the real stuff ... Worse case scenario, I'd say 8th like the last few seasons ... this involves an above-average number of injuries to key...

    Cut Jako some slack

someone writing off a champion, yet confesses to being a 'Matt Le Tissier clone' , touch of irony ... my two cents on Jako ... I think people are grossly under-rating his services at CHF last season. The fact remains he makes a contest every time, something which not many CHF's on our list...

    Eagles v Hawks GBU

Given a line-up with Gardiner in the forward line as a third tall, anyone got any ideas on what the Dogs line-up would be? Has Rawlings been playing as a forward or a defender? Now if the Dogs were going to win the game, I'd say they'd have to try and stretch our backline by playing a tall...

    We got trounced

    pre-season expectations
