Josh Thurgood makes the cut ......

I think we all must agree though that Tom Murphy should be kept in the side. He is a very highly skilled and composed player that benefits our backline. Cheers!

    Mid Season Line Up

What about Tom Murphy? Surely he would be in the line-up atleast in the future line-up.. especially the rate he is developing.. My Line Up for 2009: B: Murphy Roughhead Brown HB: Birchall Croad Tuck C: Young Mitchell Muston HF: Franklin Thorp...

    Small Crumbing Forward

Tom Murphy should be given a chance... if he's mobile enough to take the small forwards (like when he towelled up Kayne Pettifer in Launceston last year), he should be mobile enough to be a small forward/crumber. Plus he knows how to be a forward, as he was a noted forward in his junior days...

    APS Overated league

You are kidding yourself if you don't think scouts and recruiters don't go to ACC games.. when I was playing for De La in 02/03... we had scouts and recruiters at our games all the time... especially Hawthorn & Carlton recruiters.. our school always had close links to those two clubs.. Hence in...

    APS Overated league

Yeah the St. Bernards VS De La Salle rivalry was bloody sensational in 2002/03... Some top quality games... The ACC grandfinals were awesome!!.. especially the '03 grandfinal... but you guys showed your class in the Herald Sun Shield Grandfinal though... I was exhausted after playing on the MCG...

    APS Overated league

If you have a look at the ACC website & APS website.. You will see that the ACC has actually produced more AFL Footballers... but the higher average of quality players have come from the APS... but in saying that... the ACC has produced more "Legends of the Game".. such as Kevin Sheedy & Jack...

    APS Overated league

You can't really rate that overall one school comp is better than the other. Because one year the standard of one school comp can be better, but the next year the other comp might be better. I know for a fact that in 2002 & 2003 the ACC was rated better than the APS. But they only based it on...

Vandenberg, Dixon, Croad, Jacobs and Osbourne?

I think Tom Murphy should get a decent run... he showed a lot of promise playing in defence (stitching up an in-form Kayne Pettifer) and up forward as an accountable forward...(he did this against Lance Whitnall shutting him down whilst getting a goal himself)... any thoughts?

    Southern Football League 2007

Any clubs have any intra-club matches coming? I'm sure there must be some grounds most clubs can use for this. Cheers :thumbsu:

Thomas Murphy from Hawthorn... 2007 will be his breakout year... very versatile... very fit & strong... skillful.. and determined.. didn't disappointed considering the limited oppurtunities he had... that's my opinion anyways..

    Southern Football League 2007

Well as long as you keep drumming it into them that hard work and a high work rate is the key and they should do fine.. I played a few games for Nth Kew last year but couldnt play a full season due to work committments and injury.. and I played against you guys (Mt Waverley) in the reserves last...

    Southern Football League 2007

M-Lion.. With so many young guys down at your club, who will be the big improvers or have a break-out year next season? You must have a few young kids ready to step up after a year of successful progression?

    Southern Football League 2007

Just wondering if anybody would like to name names of players who they think will either improve or have a break-out year for their club next season? I know some clubs out there might not want to do this to keep their "secret weapons" hidden for a surprise assault on the season to come! Any...

Southern Football League - Division 3 talk only!

Just want to know everybody's thoughts the outcome for the 2007 season for Div 3?? who they think will be a force? next big improvers? who will slide? etc.. I think Mount Waverley will be the big improvers, both their senior and reserves side. Considering where they finished last year, I think...

    Southern Football League 2007

How can you seriously predict Mt Waverley to finish last? They only just lost to Black Rock in the finals (by 8pts) and have the youngest list in Div 3 by a guestimate of like 5 years. 80% of their list is made up of guys between 19 - 22. I seriously think they are about the only club to achieve...

ACC Vs APS Who would win?

For all you APS kids out there... schools awarding scholarships is the same as buying players... and to answer another question.. Yes ACC and APS schools do play each other in practice matches... I played for De La Salle in 2003 and we beat scotch at their homeground by 5 goals... and both teams...

Any Chances Of a De La being drafted?

I'm not sure on who will get drafted from De La this year... but next year's yr 11's and 12's will have many draft prospects. As you may not be aware but 2005 yr 9's & 10's dominated the ACC competition plus beat any APS school who tried to challenge them.. and will be the school to beat most...

ACC Vs APS Who would win?

I think ACC would defeat APS in a close one... but it could go either way.. dont be fooled just because most APS schools "buy" their players thus therefore have better players which means it must have a better team.. a lot of players from ACC schools turn down scholarships etc all the time from...

    Herald Shield 2006

I will admit De La arent the best school side this year.. but next year or the year after they will dominate. After last years performance by their year 9 & 10 sides (underfeated and average winning margin of 200 points).. they will form a very VERY strong side combined by these 2 year levels...

    Best football school in Australia

I would just to say over the last 5 years and probably in the next 3 or so years to come.. De La Salle College malvern have been a stand out footy school.. i wouldnt say the top skilled side but the best team side in victoria.. we defeated the top teams when it counted.. and especially the first...
