4th Test Border Gavaskar Trophy December 26-30 1000hrs @ the MCG

I agree, there is no way we set less than 400. I think the goal will be an hour tonght and a full day tomorrow if we can get the runs in time. Yesterday cost us our best chance of winning.

It was an okay chase but Overton needed to come in ahead of Ross. I thought we lost the game in a 3 to 4 over period where we couldn't hit big. I thought our bowling lost it. Not having a second "crunch over' bowler has cost us again.

4th Test Border Gavaskar Trophy December 26-30 1000hrs @ the MCG

BJ and Brad Haddin were clear last night what they thought. I thought Warner was reluctant to give too much of an opinion.

4th Test Border Gavaskar Trophy December 26-30 1000hrs @ the MCG

I loved how in the interview post days play Khawaja had to tell us all how long and how well he has knows Kholi. There are a few exceptions but this Australia team really want to be liked by him. A few saying it was great leadership to defuse the siituation but I thought it was pathetic. I...

Its what we expected but it is far to soft. You can't do that in Cricket. More than any other sport kids copy what they see on the Cricket field. Yesterday proved it's a minor offence. Still everyone wants to be friends with Kholi, no one wants to upset him.

Short on content that's for sure. None if that add was funny

How many at the MCG are out there back of the members enjoying the carnival atmosphere or doing the roof climb?

He won't be but he should be. That was deliberate. I sound like an old man but that kind of thing flows down to junior and local level cricket and that's where it gets out of hand.

I don't mind it if it comes off but looks ridiculous missing both of them by a fair bit.

Luck more than anything. Some good bowling

Thornton is definitely better in the first ten overs. I wouldn't bowl him in the power play or finals overs. We might make a change to try something different on Friday. Maybe one of Doggett, Buckingham or Haskett for Thornton. Pope has been okay. The advantage of Pope is he can bat in the top...

Great over by Scott. I thought all his overs were well bowled. We probably didn't deserve to win but it feels like the second game this year that we lost from a winning position in the field. I think it might be part poor captaincy / coaching and part personnel.

BBL Match 9 Brisbane Heat v Adelaide Strikers 22/12 1845hrs @ the Gabba

I said this pre tournament I don't know who our second 'crunch' over bowler is beside Overton. Maybe it's going to be Scott but given he is a top up player I don't think that was ever the plan.

Well played McSweeny. We lost it with the last Thornton over. We should have defended that given their batting lineup. That's two we have lost so far that we should of won. Good bowling by Scott.

BBL Match 9 Brisbane Heat v Adelaide Strikers 22/12 1845hrs @ the Gabba

The Strikers bowling weakness was always that Overton is the only real bowler you can trust in the key overs. Even that is a stretch at times.

Makes sense as the fielding team needs time to set up.

Yeah they are in the studio, they should have a wider screen shot so they can see where the fielders are. We keep getting told they have acess to better vision than we do.

Good catch. Poor BJ didn't know if it was going out of the ground or going to be caught. He needed a screen to tell him there was a fielder out there.

We are not going to make enough but that was an okay power surge.

I am glad you understand the local replacement rules. Very confusing. I see Tom Andrews got picked up by the Thunder. Harry Manenti is listed as an all rounder but is he more of a batsman or bowler?

Harry. Ben is back at the Sixes.

    Big Bash

The scoreboard had him as a sub all night but they are not as accurate as they used to be. He hasn't been named for tomorrows game. Harry Menenti has been signed as a top up player, I guess for Allen? So that's Scott, Haskett and Manenti for Head, Carey and Allen I think.

Any idea why Weatherald didn't field at all last night?
