Anthony's best position is as a defender. When playing in the VFL, he was used as a defender, an well was given 3 straight BOG's. As you can imagine it is nearly impossible to work your way into the Collingwoods backline with Presti, Goldsack, Brown, Reid and Maxwell.
Several posters have...
Well, lets see, he has played 17 games, is a ruckmen, and has the ability to dominate against one of the premier ruckmen in the competition(Mumford). I do think he holds more value than Bock ( age 29), Jolly( age 28) and Hardbrow.
Well the only reason why players are leaving is purely because they cant get a game. Theres 22 on the park and 40 or so on a list, someone has to miss out.
Hi guys,
I just cant explain to myself what all the fuss is with Jarred Brennan. Surely he isnt worth a top 15 pick. He is extremely unaccountable, slack, and even though has classy skills, turns the ball over like there's no tomorrow.
Do people on here want him, are you guys willing to...
I dont think anyone in the game can go one on one with Swan. Swan is a burst player, sprinting for 5 minutes, then going off for 2. His running and excersize patterns are different to Carrots, Ellards ect. A rotation of players running with Swan is probably the best answer.
was listening to Matty Lloyd on SEN this morning. He sad he was thinking of changing his tip to fremantle because of some inside "information" that he knew of. My guess is that murph could be a late withdrawal, well better a mid, than a KPD.
I'd say A Swallow,,,,,i'd think he'd be close to AA this year.
From my club, Michael Jamison has become a rock this year, has not been beaten once.
Ben hudson performs week in week out as well
Brock isnt in the team to look good, he is in their to make gibbsy, judd and murph look good. He did that today, very good in the clearances, and seemed to work well with judd. We dominated the clearances yesterday and most of them were thanks to him.
A few positives i took out of the game:
1- YARRAN.
2- Lucas- I thought lucas did realy well, you got to remember he is the type of player who runs and likes free flowing games, this was sort of out of his comfort zone, in terms of how the game was played.
3- Davies- Solid, nothing...
Personally i think we are wasting our time with O'hailpin. I genuinely dont think he is good enough to compete well on a weekly basis. Instead we should be using time developing hendo and kruz, who have far more potential, and will be at the blues in our premiership window.
You no what, we could be 0-9, and quite frankly i couldn't care less. This year i just want to see good development of our youngsters. But can i just say if you this port will challenge for the 8 then you must be severely delusional.
This is from the Hun
THE Christmas shockers keep coming for Carlton with more players landing themselves in strife after a weekend boat cruise.
Police have confirmed Eddie Betts was arrested in the city early on Sunday morning for being drunk, while Mitch Robinson injured his shoulder...
This is from the AFL website-
CARLTON
Pre-season selections: Nil
Rookie selections: 6 (15, 31, 44, 56, 66, 73)
Locked in: Zach Tuohy - international
Needs: Expect the Blues to nab at least one tall forward, after they traded Brendan Fevola to the Lions and opted for mid-sized players in...
great post,
but, i think we need one more tall/medium forward option.
I agree that our backline is fine, just give it some time.
Can i also mention that Brock Mclean is a B+ - A- midfeilder. He will realy step up this year.
When selecting in the rookie draft i think clubs will look at pure potential. Maybe not the best player at the moment, but the player who has the tools to rise and be a very good AFL player.
For example someone with blistering speed, or someone with sublime skills.
Clubs have nothing to...
I think Gibson to the Hawks.
The main reason why is because it will allow Hodge to play in the middle where he belongs. We all know what hodge can do in the middle (hawthorn v Collingwood this year).
Hodge will win the brownlow this year, no doubt.
Well its now or never, if he doesnt break through into the side i have no doubt that he will get the chop.
But, in saying that i think he definitely has the potential to cement a place in the side. He and Yarran dominated the prelim final against the Borough a couple of months back.
He...
Yep, spot on,
Ellard has really done everything he can do to try and break into the firsts. I dont think he will be able to get into the squad, no madder how hard he works with the acquisition of Mclean and Lucas.
I think its the same with Grigg, i doubt he will cement get a spot in the...
