Your source is full of it.

Why would we trade Hampson for Krakouer in light of Jacobs indicating that he wants to join Adelaide?

If you read the original post, you would see that this was an option depending on what happened with Sauce. Obviously we wouldn't trade Hammer now if we are going to lose Sauce.

On the other hand, what if Sauce can be convinced that he is much loved and stays, then trade options for Hammer would come into play. I do doubt that though as negotiations re Sauce have been going on for some time.

2. Finally T-Bird will get to his desired location of a couple of years ago and we won’t have to put up with his sulking any longer.

Thornton > Hawks
Ladson or Lewis or Pick around 40 odd > Blues

Is this serious? I think Lewis has a heap of potential and is a very good utility.

He's young and is coming into his prime (most of geelong's mids didn't hit their straps until about 24-26). We won't be trading him for anyone hopefully.

Ladson maybe, but you'd want more than just ladson. At the same time though, I don't really think we need thornton. We already have so many 3rd/loose talls it's not funny.

I agree, unless clarko is keen to get done what he couldn't do years ago
lewis -> you're overpaying
ladson -> unders

I'd look at Travis Tuck from the Hawks. He'd be perfect for us, tough big bodied mid, who can win a lot of clearances and also block for Judd. It's just the whole drug thing hanging over his head, which makes it a risky move.

What about this guy? This would be the kind of under-the-radar move that could really work out couldn't it?

Would have him for depth, if he came via the PSD and we didn't pay him much. We are very thin in the big blokes area, heaven forbid we get some injuries. We have zero reliable forward or defender backup.

Other thing is, how hard would it be to look good as a defender playing for that bunch of rabble? Wouldn't be much worse defensively than Thorton this year, and about half the price.

Some interesting feedback from the B & F.

Yazza would not be offered for trade by the club even for Pick #4 and Mich Brown.

Hammer wants to stay at the Blues and is looking forward to being in tandem with Knockers in 2011 and beyond.

Grigga will re-sign with us soon. His manager has been playing hard ball as we suspected.

Andy Walks loves the club and wants to play in the midfield with Juddy. He will stay unless the club gets an offer too good to refuse that also guarantees him a starting spot in the suitor clubs engine room. Money isn't his biggest motivation and it is highly unlikely that he would go to Adelaide anyway.

Santy might also be another who is having second thoughts about seeking opportunities elsewhere. Apparently his girl friend has put her foot down on an interstate move as well.

No new info on Sauce or T-Bird, but suffice to say, look gone for all monies.

This is all good news. I hate our players leaving. I can understand Sammy Jacob's wanting out, because in reality he'll still be our backup ruck, and we've forced the Crows to give the guy a huge well deserved contract. Don't want Walker or Grigg or Setanta to go. Thornton is on the outer unfortunately, and needs a change.

:)

Hi guys,

I just cant explain to myself what all the fuss is with Jarred Brennan. Surely he isnt worth a top 15 pick. He is extremely unaccountable, slack, and even though has classy skills, turns the ball over like there's no tomorrow.

Do people on here want him, are you guys willing to give our 1st pick that can be used on something we need like a real KPD, a tough inside mid or a classy "quarter back" like back flanker.

It seems as though ratts is obsessed with picking up a senior player. I mean there is no need, our list is young, we have time. There is no need grabbing players that wont be in their prime when we are serious flag contenders, possibly in 2-4 years time.

Agree. And you'll always find coaches in the last year of their contracts after ready-made players. Hopefully others looking at the bigger picture will make the decisions.

Anyway, I just can't see Brennan leaving Qld. He seems more of a career footballer than a team footballer desperately wanting to play in a premiership team. GC17 suits him perfectly. The Lions have no money to pay him because of the Fev trade, and that's why he's moving

Really hope he stays and plays as a medium forward for us. Has all the tools and will take a lot of heat off Waite and Henderson. Sauce I understand and even though I love him if we lose a guy who might not be in our best 22 and get someone that will strengthen our best 22 then I can't complain but I'd love to see Walker stay with us.

He's a show pony of the first degree, we don;t have any and don;t want any.

I don't want Brennan, however, I am interested in Veszpremi.

I'd be up for Walker or Bock compensation pick for Veszpremi. Anyone else interested?

He's the small forward/HFF we don't have, he's dissimilar to the aboriginal boys and in my team of the future would allow Lucas to play on the wing or on HBF. Has only managed 11 games in three seasons and Swans have admitted they prefer others for his role so I think the trades I've suggested are suitable.

Seriously hope we don't give up our first round pick for Brennan. He played 18 games this year and couldn't even finish in the top ten of Brisbane's B&F. We will be going backwards if we waste a first round pick on him.

Prefer to go for quality and would rather trade our first round pick and Jacobs to Adelaide for one of their better KPP.
