I don't think Navarre expected to be only 1 win from 4 games! With all the hype at the start of the year you would have thought they were going to be a contender, but what they didn't bank on was losing the quality of players that are not playing. For example you take Bill and Marcus Driscoll...
Navarre played Tatyoon in a practice match 6 quarters i believe, scores were Navarre 22 goals to Tatyoon 5. All recruits played well with 4 or 5 that didnt play!
I would have thought the best wimmera ruckman against Stasse would win the contest hands down. Stasse had a very good year and i agree would be the best ruckman in the LPFL last year but i would believe Ben Martin will be the #1 ruckman easily this year!
B.Williams, B.Macgowan, E.Johnson
J.Harney, Robinson, Fletcher
J.Hill, B.Driscoll, S.Ross
C.Ladiges, K.Molloy, J.Mcnamee
J.Porter, T.Mckay, B.Augustine
B.Martin, T.Blackford, R.Waters
Int- M.Stasse, B.Mortlock, K Begbie
There would be other players that you could include that are either...
Can anyone tell me who are the coaches for Skipton, Lexton, Illabrook and Ararat this year?
Also, any news on new players coming or going from LPFL for 2008?
Not Bigmore but know him! I only answered your questions di*k h*+d! I have noticed that you dont mind dishing out on blokes from St Arnaud either still locals or not. Easy to bag people behind a usernam f**k w*t!
STArnaud would be luck to get the macgowan brothers back to the club. both are very good players, Mark being a quality midfielder that gets the hard contested ball and Brad is a very accomplished backman that can play on all most any forward! As for bigmore wont be heading anywhere has had a...
I don't know any club that doesn't try and attract players you idiot. Every club tries to lure any players whether there superstars or battlers in the hope that they may bring mates with them. As for trying to get them from St Arnaud or Stawell of course Navarre would try and recruit players...
Interesting assessment there champ! I know pup quite well, as for form this year only played 5 games due to knee reco. Noticed on previous threads don't mind mouthing off about people and clubs! Interesting to know where your facts come from about money as its his junior club that he went back...
That comment is spot on the money!
Heard last week in the r/c vs c/l that Rob Waters hit tommy blackford from the coaches box when t.b got pushed over the boundary line, says a lot about your coach!
True that c/l totally outplayerd navarre for most of the game other than about 20 mins of footy where navarre had a crack. Dunno what game you were watching though digger bodey was clearly BOG with Hill not far away. Ladiges was good up forward as well. Ross waters was lucky if he hit double...
Its easy to play well against the easier sides, been well down on form this year from what i have seen and heard. Hasn't stood tall against top opposition yet so must do that to be regarded as the best forward or midfielder
From what i hear bigmore is gone for season with knee reco. Grasshoppers have been hit big time with injuries this year with prob 5 of best 10 players out for most of season so far. will be interesting in next couple of weeks with some quality players hopefully being available!
Sounds like you would have to be a C/L player or supporter there slasher as for my credentials played against all these players numerous times so have seen them in action. Have been a coach, interleague rep and B&F winner are these enough credentials for me to have an opinion!!!
Also slasher do...
Just a reply on comments pring, raynor and leehane get enough credit:
- Pring, sheep dog never won a hard ball in his life always had blokes feeding him
- Raynor ok backman but undisciplined
- Leehane best football days past him, whoever said he was the best chf in LPFL last year knows nothin...
DA, I would gladly take those odds for Navarre and Illabrook, definitely have a go at those odds. Seems everyone hasn't given Illabrook and Navarre a chance in the finals race this year, they both seem to be the big improvers in LPFL.
Glad to see on latest threads more talk about other clubs...
Thats correct C-L with 2 reports for the game with no injuries! I hear on the grape vine Navarre were exceptionally good, but may have come at some cost with two knee injuries to key players. By all reports must have been a good game; though sources say Navarre had up to 10 players out with injury.
