Whelan reckons he's got a dozen plus players that will sign on already. If that's right and they can find a few more on top of that, along with their under 18s who are pushing up to seniors, they should be right.
As Melbournians we all love our footy, but I'm looking to compile a bit of a list of some of the weirder sports around the traps in Melbourne. Things like Swordcraft, Bicycle Polo, Underwater Hockey, Quiddich, Ultimate Frisbee etc.
I'm sure there's a few more some of you guys have heard...
Not going to be betting on footy now until probably round four of the real season! Dees loss hurt pretty bad and Swans stuffed me up last week. NAB Cup is just the complete unknown!
Collingwood very juicy at $2.35 to win their group on Satuday night (ie. beat Rich and Carl).
And, with Hawks to go young to Perth, I reckon Freo at $2 to win their pool (vs WCE and Haw) looks ok aswell.
Might go the multi for the two and take $4.70 odds....
Thanks for the info guys.:thumbsu:
Sounds like a cab to the city might be our best option in that case. And then bus it around city/bondi from there....
Have had a quick look at the trip planner website and that and it sounds a very complicated ticketing/pricing system in Sydney...In melbourne...
G'day guys,
Hoping someone on here might be able to help me out.
I'm off for a trip to Sydney next week with a couple of mates. Thing is, we are going for a 24hr trip as we got $2 flights each way with Tiger ($12 return for 3x persons!).
Anyway, we fly in at about 4pm one day and out at 2pm...
alright thanks mate i'll try that forum...
Yer, can go to the pubs over the border which show live and sometimes do but would be nice to have live at home at times too..
all googled out and can't find anything....it's gotta b possible though...worst thing is I'm on the border of VIC/NSW...NSW is litterally 500m up the road and across the Murray River!
Gday guys.
I'm in country Vic and have Austar. On a Friday night main event carries Channel 7's telecast into NSW/QLD. Is there any tweak I can do to get this stream in Vic? Sick of watching Friday nights on C7 delay!
Echuca were up by as much as 30 points early in the third term...Rochy kicked the last 11 goals of the match unanswered. Bombers had no run in the final term and coughed the pill up when they did get it. Tigers just wanted it more.
Press release put out a short time ago by the GVFL re: Swans V Bears saga...pretty big outcome to the investigation...Swans are now effectively 0-3...
:footy:PRESS RELEASE
The Board of the Goulburn Valley Football League met this morning to formally receive the reports from VCFL investigator...
Agree I suppose but if Jordan were a table-tennis player for instance you would probably say "Moama table-tennis player Jordan Williams..." wouldn't u? There is no table-tennis club (i don't think) in Moama but the guy lives in Moama and not Echuca....
And, I reckon the Riv has pumped up the EFC...
Mate, Monday's front page said "Moama footballer Jordan Williams....". That is not at all incorrect. Jordan does live in Moama and he is a footballer??? No where in any story did it say he played for Moama because he didn't. If you read the stories they said he played at Echuca, the Pioneers and...
It should be that Willams is fourth played from Echuca drafted in the national draft in the past 7 years, not third.
But, the others mentioned were all rookie drafted!
Archard- Adelaide- 2006 Rookie Draft
McGlone- Sydney- 2003 Rookie Draft
Kirkby- Hawthorn- 2004 Rookie Draft
Height- Hawthorn-...
Totally agree- is great news that Jordan got picked up by the Hawks. He was over the moon last night- couldn't believe it! Neither could his parents for that matter! Was heading down to Waverly to meet them all and have training this morning and is off on the trip to Kakoda with the Hawks next...
Not hearing much from Moama or Echuca United recruiting wise....Moama are stuggling to rein in recruits is the word..got no idea about United though....??????
Just a little story from todays Riv Herald about the release of season fixtures for GVFL and MFL.....
it's here: http://www.riverineherald.com.au/readstory/read.asp?id=1126128
