Mate you have no idea what your talking about. . . . . Coaching at Rumba is a great opportunity in it's self. It's a senior coaching job with a great club, in a great league, at the very least. And it's proven to be able to offer the right candidates the oppertunity to further not only thier coaching skills but also thier coaching carreers through it's partnerships.
WHOEVER get's the job will be in a great position, but it won't be a case of them using us or us using them. It'll be a case of the best fit for both parties. . . . . .

Goodgolly if this is the case why has it taken so long to find a coach, and second why have some of the coaches you have chased knocked the job back. example- Daniels,Whelan and Wirrupunda, I agree with another poster in I dont think Ahmat is the right man to get Rumba up and going, and goodgolly I hope Im proven wrong if he gets the job.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Fair call pinoccio. But just so it's out there:
S. Daniels is an exceptional coach and from what i've seen a great bloke and would have been great to have at our club. But he stated he didn't want to pursue coaching at a higher level (VFL or above) anymore as he's been there and done that. And from what i hear he's got a family connection out a Congupna which was the decider for him.
D. Wirrapanda was never persued to coach. He'd made contact with us (or we were told by his family) to say he was retireing and wanted to come back to Vic and launch his foundation and just gave us the heads up. He was just going to come on as a player so he could re-connect with family and still concertrate on his foundation. But with the arrival of his first child it kinda turned all plans on it's head( funny how kids will do that). So he's (just incase no-one knows) staying in Perth for a while longer so his partner has the support of her family and will be playing in a WAFL side over there.
M. Whelan's name was bought up by someone as a possibility without ever having spoken to him. He was never persued and from what i hear he's going to be down Warnambool way next season.

As for Sam, i guess only time will tell if he can do the job. But we are extremely happy to have him onboard and the powers that be are very confident he's capable of doing a great job with our young list (with some help from the Ass. Coach in Damian Morgan.)

Hey Goodgolly good to hear you have announced a coach and can move on. I may have missed it somewhere but is Sam Playing or Non. Also its interesting that Toc and Tonny are still to name coaches is this either A big name or have heaps of players said they would not be returning hense to find the right Rebuilding coach move that both teams are taking there time on the position?

Its interesting you mention this Inter, from memory I've never seen so many clubs this late without coaches, in this area, nor can I remember for some time, the amount of players who have yet to make up their mind !!
Perhaps the changing of clearance rules last year has meant players aren't committing as early as in the past ??
In relation to Ahmet, you'd suspect that the club would have had plenty of interest for the position and obviously had an idea of the type of person the club wished to have at its helm to take them in the direction they wish.
Coming straight from an AFL affliated, VFL club as an assistant is a pretty good credential, alone. Good luck to him !!

Have heard ex tocumwal junior and gun thurgoona forward jarred "pugsley" Cator may be making a move into the hume league next year ? anyone had info on this?

Thanks Goodgolly, and all the best for Rumba mate in 2010 :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Have heard Mulwala have signed Yarrawonga players Nick O'Bryan and John McHenry.. Both will be quality players in the Murray league.. O'Bryan's a ball magnet with beautiful kicking skills - J mac is an incredibly strong and athletic utility - could fill CHB, ruck or CHF role's at Mul..

Barooga officials were seen on Sunday showing 2 Bannister brothers and former Seymor & VCFL rep Scanlon around the Club Barooga facilities. Sources say they are once again going all out to get that illusive flag.

You would think that Scanlon would join Daniels at Congupna if he was to play in the Murray league-although he might not be rewarded as well at Congupna. Jordan bannister is joining the AFL as an umpire but his two brothers could be available.
