Let's make some predictions for the 2025 season. If you can think of other things to add, feel free to request them.
1. How many home and away games will Carlton win in 2025?
2. If we make finals, how far will we go?
3. Name our top 3 Brownlow votegetters in order.
4. How many Carlton debuts...
Merry Christmas everyone.
This board has been a hive of activity, lots of camaraderie and lots of disagreement. We've embraced players, coaches and staff at the Carlton Football Club, and we've given up on the same at times. We've clashed with each other, but also agreed with each other...
Hi all
I'm not sure whether this is a privilege or me just asking for free labour.
In the past we have had a player buddy draft where posters put their hand up to be a buddy for a Carlton player, in terms of updating their player thread regularly.
This can be by way of linking to articles...
Pre-draft Eliza O'Reilly said we were after Fish or Scholz. She said whichever one was still there, they would be a bargain. She seems to be the AFLW's Twomey so I'm going to go with that.
3 are already in the side, and the other 3 will play a lot. We will lower our age profile a little, but won't lose quality. Exactly what we want our side to be doing.
Voss mentioned 5 or 6 young player names that he wants to see contributing to the senior team this year. I can't remember for sure the names he mentioned, but Lord, Binns, Moir and Lemmey were 4 of them. I think Wilson got a mention but not as one of the ones expected to make a huge...
Pound Cordner
Field Sholz Peterson
Hill Guerin Vickers
B Moody A McKay Sherar
Fitzpatrick Austin Skepper
Bohanna Vescio
Int: Good Robertson Duursma S McKay
Emergencies from: Finn Fitzgerald Brown Keck Goss Hendrie Velardo C Moody
Getting some depth, but still heaps of development and...
“A footballing ‘unicorn’ in terms of her size and versatility, Scholz is looking to join sister Matilda at the elite level with some top-end traits that add a point of difference to her profile.”

SNAPSHOT: “Lou-Lou Field is a naturally gifted defender who has long been involved with the Western Jets program, captaining the club this year and despite interruptions due to injury and school footy, finished the season strongly.”

Love the romance of this. 2 father/sons this year and a father/daughter to join her sister, an existing father/daughter.
Sophie is a very different type of player to Abby.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury ... I submit that the prosecution have not proven their case by providing one single example of an error in judgement from the accused, but in fact, have proven the defence case by showing that the accused was indeed in the defensive part of the ground at the...

Here I am thinking that Walsh is a defensive minded midfielder first and foremost. I sometimes lament that he expends so much energy getting back, that he has no power left when going forward. One of us needs to watch more closely. Which one though?
Yeah, but he only got past Anderson because of his jumper hold. Separate incidents or not, that came first so Villa fans shouldn't feel hard done by.
On the run of play and given the chances we had, it was a fair result.
Forest marches on. Boring first half and electric second half. Had a goal saved on the line in miraculous fashion by Martinez, then go behind right after. Then get the equaliser before VAR take 5 minutes to call it offside. Then Martinez spills a Milenkovic header that went right into his hands...
So Molly O'Hehir has surged up the phantom draft to 2 or 3. Our pick will push back to 6 due to Gold Coast's academy pick.
Zippy Fish appears to be in our reckoning again along with Poppy Scholz, younger sister of the Port ruck.
Carlton start their 4 day Sunshine Coast training camp. The issue is it has been raining every day in SE Qld. Not sure watchers will see a lot even if we train for the open day today.
I am wondering though, if other days are able to be observed as well.

I have Gov and JSOS together as horses for...
He was still 19 a year ago according to an article in November 2023 so he will have just turned 20. I did think he was older than that though. Maybe throw him in and we can change it if necessary.
For me, this is the order of merit for our rookies in 2025.
Moir
Binns
Lord
Smith
Wilson
L Camporeale (just a hunch)
B Camporeale
Lemmey
O'Keeffe
M Carroll - if listed
Duffy
Charleson
O'Farrell
Monahan
I actually think that Binns and Lord will be more consistent than Moir, but I think Moir...
Neither seem to be near the level of the rucks at the better clubs. The level has improved so much as the grass roots competitions have improved. We will need to invest in a young ruck sooner or later.
