Just returning from my self imposed ban for one thing and one thing only.
In light of the Smith news. The vitriol towards Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is nothing short of despicable from a group of so-called "supporters".
He is a 22 year old key forward. One who generated as many shots at goal this year...
Sure...happy to go back to not posting at all then.
If it's fine to systematically bag a player that has admitted to mental health problems but not to call out that behaviour then maybe this board is no longer for me.
Is there anything more tiresome than a Dew "fat" joke?
For a board that regularly used to bemoan the footy show for its gutter humour, a few are all too ready to climb in there with them.
On one hand I'm relieved Baz is staying.
On the other I'm not sure I can take another year of Next Waiting taking pot shots at him and detailing his unhealthy obsession with Butters without losing what's left of my mind.
Yes I can because it's true.
Gia and Hansen have as much chance of landing a senior coaching position as I do.
Compare that to Richmond, Collingwood, or Melbourne who had several former senior coaches surrounded by high quality young assistants.
The best support team we had were King, Hansen...
Come on man. I know you've lost all faith in him but that's simply not true, especially as compared to the club's surrounding us on the ladder during his tenure.
The only well regarded names there are King, maybe Hansen and possibly Monty (who was only there during his first year and a half)...
Lake was not a similar thing.
Lake was seen as cooked not moved on because of behavioural issues.
This has only been a significant issue with the current administration.
Do you think we as a club would have kept Degoey? Or Dustin Martin for that matter? They both would've been shipped out for...
This is what I have been banging on about since Stringer was traded.
We have a shit culture if it can't withstand some idiots.
Idiots who by all reports still seem to show up to training, play well on field and are professional in all matters relating to the club and its commitments.
Everyone...
I think the way Bubba has been treated is disgraceful and wouldn't blame players for feeling like their loyalty and hard work didn't matter to those above.
Smith is loyal, passionate and committed and has been since he was in nappies. You don't dump people like that and not expect a response...
