No he wasn't.
Scotland had a lot of issues at Sunshine and you will not hear any support from there. He was also at Darley where there were a few issues and is coaching Deer Park in the second division of the EDFL. Would not want him as an assistant

Oh for god sake, just pay the dam money.Dew connection is real he just wants big money which we’re hesitant to pay
So, looks like Bevo will stay on next year. Weightmans post game comments last week, and Treloars comments today where he said the players love Bevo, and are not happy with all the noise of people trying to drive him out. Seems like the players are comfortable with his ways.
So moves onto the next question. Will the club finally invest in proper experienced line coaches, as well as a kicking/skills coach? Pretty happy to hear that so far it appears to be the case. If we get Dew as a forwards coach, I am interested to know who the other big name or names are. Hopefully it is settled well ahead of preseason.
This place is funny. We scream blue murder about employing spuds like Matt Spangher then throw up alternatives that are worse.
How about we go with experienced AFL quality coaches?
And who might that be?
Yes!One thing that bringing in Dew can do is able to persuade any suns playing making a move to Victoria to join the club. Hopefully Dew convinces the dogs to get Flanders.
We are paying it.Dew connection is real he just wants big money which we’re hesitant to pay
Can’t speak for how good/not Dew is as a coach but I will absolutely fume if we say no purely for financial reasonsDew connection is real he just wants big money which we’re hesitant to pay
Flanders didn't start to get a proper go until after Dew left, If we get Dew Flanders would put dogs last on his list of clubs to go.One thing that bringing in Dew can do is able to persuade any suns playing making a move to Victoria to join the club. Won’t be Flanders, Dew had him stuck firstly in the twos and then up forward. Really? I thought he started in the midfield at the beginning of the season and then got injured.Won’t be Flanders, Dew had him stuck firstly in the twos and then up forward. Started really shining with more opportunity once King took over
The lines between forward/back/mid are so blurred these days, your forwards need to defend and your defenders need to attack.
Personally if I was setting up a coaching panel I’d throw the line coach concept out the window and structure it like this:
Head coach
Senior Assistant
Offensive transition coach - looking after all offensive play from defence to forward line.
Defensive coach - looking at full ground defence from your small forwards to full back.
Stoppages & set plays coach
Then development coaches in more specific roles ie one on one defensive craft, forward craft/leading patterns, ruckcraft
This way the whole group rotates through your coaches a bit more ie the offensive coach will spend time with all 3 ‘groups’ etc
Just makes sense in the modern game and I think a few clubs are going this way
Nope. Flanders only got a chance in the midfield once Dew was moved on. Zero chance he’ll be moving anywhere near him.Really? I thought he started in the midfield at the beginning of the season and then got injured.
Can't say I was aware of this.Scotland is not a great coach at all,
Ask any people involved at Sunshine or Deer Park

I know this is similar to what Michael Barlow was looking at setting up at the position he had before he got the Werribee job. (I had discussions with him)The lines between forward/back/mid are so blurred these days, your forwards need to defend and your defenders need to attack.

Almost commented too. After weeks of outraged rants this is a gem. This is the most intelligent post I've ever seen from you. Well done, lad.
Now that we’re out of the finals race and I don’t have to watch this bloody team for a few months it’s like a weight lifted off my shoulders and I’m a little more level headed, maybe we’ll seeAlmost commented too. After weeks of outraged rants this is a gem.
we dont want a Werribee coach when was the last time they produced a AFL premiership coachI know this is similar to what Michael Barlow was looking at setting up at the position he had before he got the Werribee job. (I had discussions with him)
Would be a great addition as an assistant coach given both his career from where he started and what he has done at Werribee
