Massive turn out last night. Reckon it'll be hard to maintain big numbers in the lead up to Christmas, but it was good to see so many there for the first hit out. It's not overly serious, just a bit of a run and kick and some beers afterwards.

Haha, yeah Todd has done an excellent job out there. I remember that day, I have never seen conditions like that at our ground before. We were sitting up in the box combating the foggy windows all day. Hopefully we don't see a repeat of that this year.

I'm not saying it'll automatically give you guys the win, but I think every team in the comp would prefer to play a final on their own turf. We are pretty lucky that finals are held at Tarra every year so there's always a chance we might play there. Hopefully the weather gods are kind this...

This needs to happen ASAP. Numbers are getting worse and worse each year and club umpires are not the solution. Throw them more cash, heavily publicise the going rates and introduce heavy penalties for umpire abuse - if players are involved, suspend them and fine the club. If it's a club...

That wouldn't have made a difference in the incident that happened after our match on the weekend. This person was the runner for Nth Wang in the senior match. Doubt he was sinking cans while he was off the field.

More dramas with a Nth Wang bloke and an umpire after our match too slim. As the umpires were leaving the field, this bloke (who I will not name, but I believe he is heavily involved with the club) approached the umpires and hurled abuse at them. Luckily some of their supporters held him back...

Yeah slim, he has found some form after a slowish start to the year. Big blokes are hard to match up on and there isn't a lot of height in Nth Wang's backline so that was one area we looked to exploit, and it seemed to work well. As nonch mentioned, we just need to keep him fit.

Yeah, they had eight or nine blokes but then four seniors players pulled out apparently. Good to see the handful of players that did turn up participate in a scratch match with our boys :thumbsu:

Aren't people allowed to have differing opinions? The point is, if you'd rather get pissed on a Friday night and have the week off, don't put your hand up to play in the first place.
