I heard on the grapevine at the game on Saturday that mitta will tell james gray after the grand final he is no longer required/not welcome at the club in the future. Apparently it has been bubbling away for some time and gray has upset the mitta heirachy. they are desperately trying to keep it...
Not much happening on this thread given the eveness of the comp. More action on the Upper murray and hume threads than here. surely someone has something to keep me amused at work.
top 5 looks stitched up with any of the top 4 capable. Whats happening at clubs? Kiewa boys have had a sluggish...
i dont want to talk flags in june but Kiewa boys are certainly up and about. They have gone for a side that will suit sandy creek well come September. Mitta and barny are well and truly capable. barny and Kiewa have shown that you just need to make the finals to be a chance. I think plenty of...
this thread is a bit dead. whats news around the league? whos had pre-season camps? whos ripping apart pre-season training? The Kiewa boys are travelling along nicely at the moment. flying under the radar which is what they would want. im hearing mixed things from up the valley at Dederang. some...
Wow I leave the country for a week and come back to this. hard to imagine a better script being written for Saturdays game. should be a ripper, id expect whoever loses will really cop it. not sure if both nelsons were playing seniors or not so not sure how that will effect mitta. gray has been...
don't think the swans have a chance today. I had an interesting chat with a few barny boys last night and was told (via the grapevine) that the north east umpires are refusing to travel to mitta to officiate games after what happened against Thurgoona. can anyone confirm or deny this? apparently...
Not sure about dederang being favorites. I saw a bit of the dmb v thurgoona game and i dont think the gap is as wide as the score suggested. in fact i think thurgoona will be the side to beat. dmb got belted in the reserves. if they are going to go deep into finals they will need much more...
Glen Page and then daylight to the next best. he did what he wanted on the ground and probably won DMB a couple of flags on his own.
In terms of the next best performed, Id have to say lawrence hodgkin and john tuenon from mitta. probably got over 15 senior flags between them. The great man...
So what was the reason behind durbidges departure? was it really work/personal reasons or did he have a falling out with the club? I noticed that they had Spencer from raiders recruited and then he went back to raiders? was durbidge struggling to land recruits?
I must admit that Im not entirely...
For those of you who are interstate or arent going to be able to make it tommorrow, i've tried to upload a pic of the ground that was on facebook last night. its in fantastic condition thanks to the great work of steve knight. i'm pretty sure he has done all the ground work this season as a...
Pretty quite on here at the moment considering the time of year. big game for both mitta and thurgoona. i think mitta are favorites but despite that i think all the pressure is on the dogs. i think anything less than a premiership for thurgoona will be an under achievement. mitta on the other...
a couple of interesting results from the weekend. chiltern well and truly too strong for barny, and thurgoona big winners over kiewa. i noticed thurgoona kept kiewa goaless in the first and last quarters. i missed the game, did anyone see it? sounds like thurgoona are over the wobbles and...
so what actually happened at beechworth? or is it bad enough to not be discussed in this thread?
i have heard recently that richo wont be doing the job at kiewa again next year. his decision, not the clubs. apparently one of the sheathers has shown interest in the job. not sure how accurate...
whats everyones thoughts on coaching positions for next season? chiltern, mitta. wodonga saints, beechworth, wahgunyah, rutherglen, would appear to be sorted after appointing coaches last year. Tallangatta also appointed a coach at the start of the year but i'd suspect they'll be on the lookout...
I agree sunny days. Not my choice. I cant see bartel holding down CHB at doggies if Thomson is back and playing. Id say he'll end up back at kiewa if they can afford him. id be surprised if they appointed him as coach. theyd need a very good list and some good blokes on the bench.
Good guess Sunny I'm KSC through and through. Haven't had the chance to catch up with Camo or Ash at training but judging from Saturday, Camo very despondent and Ash looked ok. Camo maybe back late season, and Ash mid season?
Will keep you posted. But still Big Rob Petrovic back doesn't hurt...
kiewa and mitta would still be favourites this stage of the year. williamson, mcmartin, cusworth, and brad dalkin will make them big improvers but not frontrunners. a back line with elliot, ledsam, and ross dalkin will bring a smile to supporters faces.:D
