No Oppo Supporters 2022 General AFL Discussion

The Swans should 100% organise an independent review into our club as well. It is best to know.

Toast Where are you seated at the Grand Final

Would kill for some tickets. As few as one as many as a thousand. I'd buy. On a Swans high right now.

Past #23 Buddy Franklin - Thanks Buddy

Not too fussed if Buddy stays or goes for next year- definitely not worth same money now (clear dropoff). With that said we can't afford him to play how he did last time out- I'm sure he won't as well. Buddy to kick 3.

    Game Day PF - Swans v Magpies - Saturday 17 September - 4:45 PM @ home

Very very anxious. Version of hell is losing to Collingwood in a prelim or winning and losing to family team in Geelong. However, 2012 was similar in terms of some nightmare matchups and it made the win all that much better. Swans by 17 points.

Autopsy Round 4, 2020 vs Western Bulldogs

Cunningham, Blakey Lloyd, Taylor and Aliir stood out as disappointing for me. Hayward continues to disappoint up front but at least was better down back. Blakey/Taylor/Allir/Hayward all should be on the chopping block. Plus one tall (Naismith is out obviously).

Autopsy AFL 2020 R3 - Suns v Crows Sun June 21st moved to 3:05pm AEST (Metricon)

Tex Walker doesn't come across as a very bright bloke or well spoken. Crazy he was a captain. Gold Coast look extremely quick and skillful.

Past #23 Buddy Franklin - Thanks Buddy

Buddy has been at a football ground last two days with footy boots and a ball. So he's doing some sort of training at least! Source: Instagram story

News Update: Confirmed - Victoria v Allstars, February 28th, Marvel Stadium, broadcast on 7 & Fox

For the negative people not getting the purpose of the match- have a look at what the tennis did tonight. Raised almost five million dollars. Much more than if a couple of the players had've just donated a lump sum or if tennis Australia had. Ticket sales- donations during the match. AFL should...

I think Buddy looks in good shape in those photos and like he has trimmed down a fair bit.

    Game Day 2019 AFL Draft

Flanders came across as a knob in his interview on the gold coast website. "What can fans expect to see from you on the field?" "Explosive- burst player.... turn a game on its head" Jesus christ Gold Coast what are you thinking?

    2020 Swans AFL Draw

Fraction more night games than I'd like but it looks like a pretty friendly draw (which obviously came as a result of our poor season).

Vintage Bay Mofra's Bottom 50 for 2019 - Now featuring the bottom 5 Arnott's biscuits

Hanners, Gibbs definite you'd think. Gary Ablett I could see making it but would be way too high. Roughead? Couple Hawthorn players who are past it already featured. Struggling to think of others. Jack Watts maybe just due to off season stuff.

Vintage Bay Mofra's Bottom 50 for 2019 - Now featuring the bottom 5 Arnott's biscuits

I don't remember much after the 1st quarter of the 2014 grand final, vague memories of second. But I believe Buddy kicked more than one. And was injured in the 2016 robbery. Good otherwise.

List Mgmt. 2019 Draft and Trade Hypotheticals Thread - Part II

I'd love to see some people quote themselves from the threads two/three years ago where they 'thought' or 'knew' certain players would be a bust or a success. A lot of nonsense being spouted by some.

List Mgmt. 2019 Draft and Trade Hypotheticals Thread - Part II

Two picks top ten I'm hoping isn't guaranteed- I'm still of the belief that a Papley contracted for four years at significant unders is probably worth more than a pick 9 in a 'weak' draft. I'm hoping that Papley only goes if Daniher does come in- and I'm not all that convinced I want Daniher in...

List Mgmt. 2019 Trade Thread - Part IV

Hey guys, sorry for the intrusion, busy trade period for you guys! Just wondering what the general consensus is that you'll give up for Zac Jones? Obviously lots of trade picks possibly tied up in other deals so a bit tricky. Think he will be a great get (Linebreaking speed and tough). Cheers

Past Nick Smith - farewell, retired 2019

Gun. Was reliable week in and week out to win his matchup and get the job done, never got the plaudits he deserved. I think we really missed him the last couple years with composure in the backline and the ability to be moved onto someone and shut them down.

    Rumour Brisbane Lions Player Arrested

Tonight at a sponsor event in South Bank, Brisbane a player and a sponsor got arrested for being drunk and aggressive towards security at the venue. No clue which player at this stage. Disappointing given how well the Lions season is going.

Past Dan Hannebery - traded 2018, to St Kilda for packet of Samboys (BBQ)

If the rumour still exists of hanners having a falling out with the team or all the senior players just want to say that it's not true. Still great mates with them and getting along even post interview. Boosts my confidence of getting a fair trade or him staying.

Past Dan Hannebery - traded 2018, to St Kilda for packet of Samboys (BBQ)

I'll tell you what if hanners goes, knows he's cooked, we get a good trade for him and he doesn't recapture his form and left for the good of the club (and his wallet) his legacy grows even further. Already a star but that'd be something extra.

List Mgmt. The 2018 Draft & Trade Hypotheticals Thread

Dan Also said he doesn't know. Says he loves the swans and he is best mates with his teammates and if a trade doesn't get done this year he's happy to stay at the swans. Also says swans didn't push him and he didn't ask to to leave. Amicable when interest was made aware to his manager they all...

List Mgmt. The 2018 Draft & Trade Hypotheticals Thread

No way Parker goes this trade window. Would make Harley look like a complete incompetent goose. The talk about Hanners is that their had been no trade sorted, he is contacted and much higher chance of staying than leaving. Parker was an emphatic under no circumstances no. If Parker asks out as...

Past Alex Johnson - thank you for all your service, delisted 2018

I was thinking similar in terms of if we can't offer him a list spot he can still surely help out reserves and do his rehab (as he has for year's) get paid for reserves coaching and if recovers properly rookie next year. And if ahead of time play swans reserves as unlisted player? Does this...
