As a momentary lifting of the haze that surrounds my brain after 36 hours of celebrating, I would like to congratulate you Scribe and all at your club on a terrific year and as Lemms said, for all the grace and dignity with which you handled yourselves after the game. Rest assured, all at Rupo...
The Friars got a good old fashioned towel up Lemms from a pretty slick Fitzroy unit, strengthened by the inclusions of 3 very good midfielders in Dullard, Biggs and Keleher, their key backman O'Reilly and very handy stallwart Jimmy Taylor. Their pressure was terrific, but added to that, the...
I think with one M Miller to go into that Ormond side, along with the ex St.Kilda player who ran around in the Magoos on Saturday, plus 1 or 2 other forward options to come back in, Ormond could well be a very realistic Flag contender. Their backline is the one area they need to sure up a touch...
It's hard not to be underwhelmingly impressed by your powerful literary genious.
May I ask who the "great" frisky "Cat" is playing his own firebrand style of footy for in the SFL, because you sound like such a super talent, it would be indeed a privelege to come and watch you strut your stuff...
Yes King, the Vultures were outstanding today and have put together a very complete looking outfit. A great debut from young Boland with 9 goals; not bad for a 17 year old.
Certainly no expert but here goes:
Hampton Rovers to turn tables in GF Replay over Oaks by 12 points
Ormond by 27 at EE Gunn against the Nodders
Rupo by 7 points in a cracker at Parkdale
Monash by 15 away to MHSOB
AJAX Bby 22 at Sportscover over The Friars
Just great to be getting underway...
MM, I wouldn't worry too much about the practice match form. It's been a long preseason again and I think a lot of players are just keen for the real stuff to start. Ormond will be very tough to beat with their Robbins' ins and Miller back and some of their kids coming through and all in all...
despite the Friars ground being a little thin on consistent grass cover last year it was actuallly a great surface to play footy on as it had great give in the surface yet it held together quite firmly and was condusive to a fast running game. All the best to the Friars on this years foreign...
