lol i have no idea, im a "bigfooty newbie" so i'm not exactly sure of what's going on. Just thought Bay 13 was for general stuff and I couldn't be bothered thinking about which specific area it should go in.
After coming back from the Hawks v Bulldogs last night I have to say that Luke Hodge has to be in the top 3 players in the AFL. Watching him run the width of the field to spoil a mark, the pick up the crumbs and spear it 60m onto a teammates chest is incredible! He has easily gone past Judd...
Is it true that he started off as a key position defender? If so could he be the solution to the problem of the hawks' defense?
If he can't solve this problem, I definitely think it's worth moving him on. 3 talls in the forward line, in my view, makes the team too top heavy.
I'm a big fan of this bloke. Has lots of class and poise and sometimes gets himself out of the stickiest situations just by using a bit of thought and skill. With a bit more experience he will be a superstar!
I would take McGlynn over Stokes any day at this point in time. Was at the Collingwood game last night and saw him fumble 2 relatively simple marks, which could really be punished come September.
I still think Tuck has a long way to go before he becomes a regular in the team. Stokes is quick...
Gibbs has really improved as a player this season and it's time that other teams really start considering him as a big threat because he has the ability to take the opposition's star midfield out of the game and still pick up 20+ touches and maybe even a goal or two.
It seems lately, this season in particular, that the roos are receiving much more attention in the media and the football community in general is beginning to give the roos undue credit.
It is widely regarded that the playing list of North Melbourne is "underrated." In my opinion it is quite...
murphy's kicking will only get better. his vision, common sense, and general disposal of the ball by hand is second to none from his draft
also, how many other players could break a tag and still be an influential force on the field before reaching double figures for number of games played...
Yeah I agree with carnthehawkas, carlton supporters are the worst. I catch the train to school with a couple of them every morning and all they ever talk about is how good Fevola is. Granted he is a fantastic player, but he isn't some kind of saviour for Carlton
I would have to agree with you pendlebury_10. Before Al Clarkson was coach and Richie Vandenburg was installed as captain, the Hawks were regarded as one of the softest teams in the competition. Now with the emergence of Campbell Brown, Jordan Lewis and Luke Hodge, all other teams shake in their...
The Brownlow is definitely a midfielder's award, and recent history proves that. Even if Buddy kicks 100 goals this season, the umpires would've still awarded the votes to the blokes who deliver it lace out to Buddy every time.
I would have to agree that Birchall is the safest player with the ball in his hands. His kicking is superb and he enough pace to outrun an opponent if needs be. I was about to mention Hodge as well but I started to remember some silly turnovers of his, although he can produce some amazing passes...
Had a look at the teams today. Seemed very even across the two teams, couldn't really pick a winner on paper. Very surprised at the ruckman that were picked in the squads ie. no Lade, McIntosh. They are both better than the likes of Leuenberger, Hille, Charman etc.
Also surprised to see that...
Rumours have it that this Trent Bond kicked a lazy 6 from the centre, I don't care who you are a performance like that deserves some recognition, put quite simply it was a masterclass of how to play australian rules footy. This kid could be anything.
I also heard the name Berry bandied around...
