Does anyone else think there might be an agreement for a late swap of draft picks asked on where everyone ends up that was part of the original trade with the saints and bombers?
so...... what you are saying is that because the pies have won the last 11, we are delusional for thinking we can win this one?
sounds like its you thats delusional to me
i think the value in having it stand alone is all in the lead up. it is up against the NRL's opening weekend and its the first ever cross town sydney clash.
The AFL are aiming to detract from the press coverage of the NRL, and a stunt like this will probably succeed. who cares if afterwards all...
i think some swans players live across the road from me, not sure who though. Rhyce Shaw was on their balcony all suited up last night when i got home from work at 6.
Re: Early Trade Week Thread
reports are that we have offered Gia from the doggies a 2 year deal, and that the dogs are only willing to offer one.
Never liked Gia, mainly cause he always stuffed my dream team around.
a guy i knew who had a massive beard got kicked out of the pub one night, and he was so pissed off they wouldn't allow him back in that he went home, shaved his beard and the bouncers didn't recognise him.
If it can work at a pub it can work at the mcg!
Re: RIP: Tackling in AFL
not surprised at the decision. shane mumford got a couple of weeks last year for tackling gablett like that. didnt agree then and dont agree now.
but the afl have said that sling tackles like that won't be tolerated so he was bound to get reported.
i think its obvious that GC could do with some mature bodies so i would be surprised if they didnt. The only problem could be is if GWS decides that playing 15 first gamers isnt a good idea and trades some of its picks for mature players. that could mean GC will have to pay over the odds
if you assumed i wasnt excited about the awesome present my girlfriend just gave me - tickets to the friday night match at the scg against carlton - you would be sorely mistaken!!!!
cant wait!
if everyone reads the thread title, it says shane mumford best play in comp by 2013.
i take this to mean that he will do a mad match saving tackle and goal, or take an important mark, something along those lines. It will be the best play in the 2013 season.
to this i say not impossible
been looking for something like this, cause being subbed 2 weeks in a row had me worried.
but reading that i plan on keeping him, and trading elsewhere this round
i assume the reason that chicken crimpy didnt get a look in is because they are so obviously superior to both bbq and pizza that is isnt even worth considering?
Could the sub rule have the effect of prolonging the career of some players by allowing them to become impact players off the bench?
Maybe Adam Goodes gets to the point where his body isnt up to the rigours of a full 4 quarter match every week, but as an impact player in the last quarter he...
read an article about this on the afl website by leigh matthews, he basically said the despite the fact everyone thought it would spell the end of the second ruckman, you definitely still need them.
if mummy has to go alone against hille and ryder this week it will be nothing but trouble...
the dees used the sub really well too, petterd very nearly won the game for them with his last quarter impact.
everyone seems to hate it, but i reckon it adds another tactical dimension to the game. plus when there is injuries it makes it a lot fairer. i reckon it was pretty successful too...
