It is not effort that is hurting us, as most of the players are busting their guts.
The other clubs have worked out our game plan. Today & last week the opposition surrounded/ circled the outside of the packs & stoppages - the effect being we could not get any outside clean clearances to allow...
Hopefully Bonti is OK;
For team balance I would make the following changes:
OUT :CORDY- sadly the project has failed
IN: CAMPBELL - Can ruck & has performed at FF
OUT: GOODES -just too slow;
IN: STEVENS- can play in a variety of roles, is quicker- can break the lines & better mark & kick
OUT...
I agree, some perspective, I said "pure talent", firstly you are not the swans & secondly our very inexperienced players- belted most of
experienced ones. PURE TALENT - I DON'T THINK SO
Don't get rid of JJ.
This young fellow showed fantastic signs this year before getting injured. His run from the backline
his ability to hit a target by foot & read the play is excellent for a 16 game player. We need his pace, could be a 10 year player (only 20)
With due respect to Cordy &...
TIO stadium is a big ground not ideal place for talls, slippery & dewy,as others have pointed out.
I would keep young Smith in the side and add pace with Djerrkura.
Roughead the only out.
The Suns are quick and we cannot go too tall.
If Higgo is not OK, I would bring in young Pearce
I'm a bit concerned as to who is updating our afl doggies website:
Next Training Session: Tuesday 31st April 2012
- Hope everyone can get there, whenever that is.
I posted after Round 1 - That we need a new coach & game plan. A few wins does not change my mind nor does it mean we will in any way make finals.
Further to what I said back then, there is a use by date for all coaches; there is no doubt that the meessage/ his voice/ instructions/ whatever...
I watched the reply last night, and to say he was impressive is an understatement. This young man has got great vision & poise in close under pressure:- which is something you cannot teach. The ability to make the right decision in one so inexperienced is very rare.
We are very, very lucky...
Hi Jeemak,
We could play any style & beat Brisbane, with their injuries.
Very briefly,
1) At least equal numbers on and around the (contested) ball around the ground;
**2) When we kicking the ball out from a behind, or at a contest in our defence ( more numbers than the opposition) -...
Hi Walrus,
I take your point in relation to negative posts, however, 95% of my posts are positive. Claiming the use of exclamation marks & capitals affects/effects the comprehenion of the tread is absurd. Others seemed to have no problem. Its just a cheap shot - and I accept that.
There has...
Your back again Stupid Gimp,
I pleased to see your confident about your football knowledge over mine
sadly your wrong again.. apparently though your very good with your joystick
I had no need to read your previous posts or history it is obvious your a video game man & good luck to...
If you bothered to read all the posts I have made on this thread, you will note that I have made reference to other games, the Essendon game was just the one example mentioned along with Collingwood & St. Kilda games.
Fortunately, I do not have to ask you anything about Football.
PS: I...
Hi Jeemak,
I am not saying that our game plan should be exactly the same as Collingwood, St. Kilda or Essendon, i.e. Essendon when it got clear went down the middle, collingwood predominately go down the flanks.
Its the numbers that are put around the ball when it is in dispute & the extra...
Hi Walrus,
Thanks for the post,
Firstly,
I never attacked Eade's playing record or what he did with Sydney or our running game up to 2007 it is simply as I said in the original post
"Essendon have been well drilled in playing a similar style to St. Kilda & Collingwood ect...If...
Hi Jeemak,
I do agree with most of your post, however, as I previously stated:
"If we are to compete & win on a regular basis in 2011 we must either have a game plan to combat this style of play or adopt a similar one. More teams in the competition are attempting to play this type of...
Sadly, you have missed the point, maybe its the fonts, suggest you get someone to read the original post to you, if you cannot understand it.
Other posters have had no trouble comprehending it.
In relation to the players, they are there to follow the coaches instructions, and after listening...
Hello Dry Rot,
Firstly, perhaps you better read it again, the fonts may have affected your vision.
Secondly, if you don't know where the players responsibility fits in you
better give it away!
Cheers
Hi Jeemak,
Firstly, I suggest you read my posts in relation to GAME PLAN. Secondly,
I'm not taking anything away from Eade in what he did in Sydney, or our running style from 2006 to 2008. Just pointing out that flooding & the running game was done prior to his coaching career.
It is now...
There you go reading the papers again,
I am not going to argue with you, seeing is believing
1) Sheedy did start the flood prior to Eade, I saw it in 87 & 88 , when he had a lot of injuries, (particularly at Windy Hill) - you may be too young to remember ( they never made the finals in...
