Am I the only that thought Crowley was absolutely hopless yesterday. Something like 9 possessions at 34% effeiciency.
Agree with alot of the comments about the others but for me he stood out with a performance that was simply unacceptable.
I reckon there is alot at Freo.
We ditched the old guard (some of which had some good footy left in them) to go with a more youthful list.
The club has alot of 50 to 100 gamers who now have to prove that they can play.
Mundy, Johnson, Dodd, Schammer, Thornton, Murphy, (etc) all have to now...
Just a couple of thought on the 2006 and 2008 versions of Coxy.
I really though that his 2008 was not as great as made out.
Got alot of the ball (great for my dream team) but IMHO ran very wide and really was not as damaging.
My recollection of him in 06 was a great contested footy winner...
If you look at the home page for each club it gives the stats game by game and for the season as a whole.
Actually quite comprehensive.
As well as the normal kicks, marks goals it also gives contested possessins and marks, center clearances, rebound and inside 50's tackles, goal assists etc.
It...

I presume we are talking about past players:
Don't believe in list of names without some comments.
1 - The wiz - I just love him. media go on and on about him and then moan because there are no personalities left in the game.
2 - Modra - Get him back to teach Murphy about second efforts. Even...
His kicking problem is with his non preferred foot. Drops it funny and can be a bit hit and miss.
In the second half he was getting forced to the non preferred side more often, hence the poor disposal tag.
His kicking normally is OK.
Also it might be a tiredness thing. I can't recall a kid in...
Stephen Michael in the 80's.
Ruckman with midfield stats, but could also tackle and lay the best shirtfronts ever seen.
He was so far ahead of his time we are just catching up 20 years later
There is one attributed to Kieran Perkins at the world swimming championships in perth.
Kieran was one of the new kids on the block and older swimmer (Jorg Hoffman from Germany) was into his ear all the way to the blocks.
So much so the inexperienced Perkins broke (so everyone thought).
In...
One of our prioblems here in WA is we keep on confusing the West with a newspaper.
2 years ago I cancelled all but Saturdays (Jobs) and Monday (Footy results).
I don't think i was alone because we got a phone call this year and can get the other 4 days fo an extra $1 per week.
Thinking of...
I hate this "premieship player" tag as if it actually means something.
There are alot of very ordinary footballers with premieship medals because they were lucky enough to fill a hole in a good side.
Look at West Coast last year, they were still running around with 15 or so "premiership players"...
According the AFL website this is the phantom draft call for Freo
3 - Rich
21 - McKernan
24 - Heyne
37 - Ballentyne
53 - Benjimum
56 - Pearce
68 - Hill (Ruckman not West perth mid)
77 - Moody
All but 3 (McKernan, Heyne, Hill) from WA
Re: Saints say NO to Cousins: OFFICIAL
I think a few of the people having a go at St Kilda or the other 14 or so clubs that have said no should take a step back and look at the events of the last week or so and put youself in the position of a board member of an AFL club.
these are some of the...
I thought the article was way overdue.
We can winge as much as we like about whether footballers should be role models, but the truth is they are.
Aus society puts sports on a pedistal, and high sports achievers are looked up to and emulated by young kids.
Forget about what we would like to...
Listening to the talk on radio eagle over the weekend there is a real possibility that Port Adelaide are now in the picture over Benny Boy.
Does anyone else the irony of Josh Carr and Ben Cousins as teammates given the last time they played against each other.
Wasn't planning to comment on the WCE board but I can't let the comparison to Farmer go unchallenged.
Farmer does not consort with people who are on the organised crime squads hitlist.
In all his off field indescretions he has pleaded guilty and faced the music. My personal opinion is that...
I always rated Polak.
If you go back to his first year he was great as a CHB in the first half of the year.
Not an unaccountable CHB but a real one.
McPharlin came back from injury and we moved Polak all round the ground and stuffed him up completely.
Interesting that its now almost...
Unfortunately it is one of the myths of West Coast at the time (I was a supporter in those days).
McIntosh was a father and son pick up. In those days the father and son was your last pick. Once he was named no one else could touch him.
The othe goodone was Heady and Kemp at picks in the 60's...
Was always a fan but he lost me after the derby when Freo got a bit physical.
For 2 weeks after the game George was carrying on and on about reports here there and everywhere.
It was a 2 week winge fest and he was a prime mover.
But I still miss him for his ability to make me mad as hell
Son of Michael Cockie. Played for South Fremantle in the 80's.
If so what are the father son rules here.
Can't find HM games he played but it would have been quite a few.
Thought I might throw in a couple of WAFL players.
Stephen Michaels - Absolute legend. He has changed the course of more games than any player I have seen. Pity the guys over the east never got to see him week in and week out. He would already be a game legend.
Basil Campbell - If you like...
Have been trying to find the best time to comment.
You just said it all
When he was playing I named the "Keep Steven Michaels at SF fund" as the beneficiary on my life insurance.
The BEST EVER.
When I was playing my junior footy I alway believed CHF was the hardest position to play.
With the way the game has changed over the years I now believe that the true crumbing forward (small forward) now has the hardest job.
In days gone by and the game was played 1 on 1 the ball would hit the...
Nah
We just emptied the club of anyone who even looked like getting close to 30, and this included players who would have been in our top 22 next year.
The last thing we want is a 27/28 year old who will just add depth.
To me the same thing applies to those wanting to add Stevie Armstrong to...
