    Betting for a wage

If you're going to be betting in those stakes, firstly you'll be broke sooner rather than later, and secondly in the short term good luck getting set all at the one price.

It's about the only racing I bet on over the winter, love it. So much more interesting than watching the run of the mill flat races.:thumbsu:

    Best bookie for racing?

Nearly right. Sportsbet offer middle tote, IASbet guarantee to beat middle tote and sometimes all 3, if the top totes are the same they beat the 3. SportsAlive bet best of 3 totes but there is a max bet.

    Jobs with Bookmakers?

I compile the odds for the events I cover, manage the liabilities on those events and then continue to do so in running if it's a live event.

    Jobs with Bookmakers?

Yeah, I'm a Sports Trader. I'm certainly not in this business for the wages. I've got about 6 or 7 mates that all worked in the industry until they turned Pro, they now make way more money than I do, and work for themselves. Have you worked for bookies on or off the fence in town? I assume in...

    Jobs with Bookmakers?

The first firm I worked for, I did Racing, then American and Australian Sports. I now work for a smaller firm, where I do a bit of everything, did the Grand Finals over the weekend as well as Racing and helped with the Golf in running.

online sportsbooks that you can not trust

I would be very surprised if this bet type was offered at all. Firstly they're related contingencies, which aren't allowed in multi's and secondly, why would the firm offer evens about Swan winning, which is what this double is, when the rest of the market is much lower than that. Doesn't make...

    Toughest Sports to win on

Any sports where one small event can make a huge difference, like soccer and ice hockey are very hard. Women's tennis is only tough if you're backing short priced favs.

Can AFL do anything about Justin.tv

Major League Baseball has the right idea. Sell the TV to the TV stations, and for $100US you can watch every game of each teams 163 game season. There would be plenty who would be prepared to pay $100AU to watch every game live on their PC.

Needsome expert adivce. In great position for Payout.

Backing the other guy gets the same same result as laying. I'd be backing the other guy to win slightly more than you stake in both the semi and the finals to lock in profit but keep the value of the large payout on your side.

    Top Fluc

All the big players that receive rebates from the TAB's for their turnover, will get this access. It allows them to manage their books and the TAB's get the extra turnover. Hence the reason you can see some big changes in prices on small pool dog races from the time the green light goes on til...

    Top Fluc

Top Fluc has nothing to do with whats shown on websites during betting. The Top Fluc is derived from the top price bet ON TRACK. The only website this would appear on in Colin Tidy's site as he bets the track odds. What I would imagine has happened in this case with it being a short fav, the on...

    Issues with online bookies?

Lurkalot Don't worry about closing accounts, just open new one's at the books you mentioned. It never hurts to have lots of accounts as you can then shop around for the best price. Sportspunter.com is a great site for comparing odds of the different bookies.

    D2 D2 Section 2009

A big win for the Turtles, if that was the case Port-man, then that is disappointing. The scoreboard in the 2's said enough, and should have left the talking at that.
