Ken Judge was a very good coach. I know because he was my coach for a year. He took the Sharks to 2 premierships. He did inherit 2 AFL clubs in transition and has been deemed a bad coach for it. Of course all you Hawks and Eagles just overestimated your teams abilities just like every supporter...

Well he is right seeing that West Perth nearly folded this year. If two teams have the same problem at the same time I bet they won't be bailed out and be made to merge.

It's a Perth based Competition. Plus the country leagues are just starting to get back to full strength after the GWS and GC dafts. And um there is no way on God's green earth that East and South will merge.

The VFL was a better comp because it had a Lot of SA and WA players in it. As soon as State of origin started we saw the eveness of the players.

Clint mentions they started using red Footys in WA from the 80s. It was about 1975 actually they switched to the red footy. Before that I remember them using the yellow ones and as a kid I was a disappointed because the yellow looked better and I owned a burley yellow footy.

I think I heard them say $50 a month for AFL.

I reckon there was nearly 60k there as i got there at 3/4 time and there was a huge hole in the fence where people were streaming into. Biggest crowd i've ever seen at Subi and the game ranks along with the first SOO game in 1977.
