Who's to say what would have happened if he stayed. He had a couple of very lean years. We might not have stuck with him and by that point his value would have been well and truly diminished

This is unfortunately the one thing that's wrong with our club. We've been they're that many times and lost that there's this anxiety that permeates throughout. Some clubs have losing cultures. I'm afraid we have losing grand final culture.
Having said that, I imagine that anxiety would have...
Out of the 4 sides that finished top 4 in 2009, 3 played all other top 4 sides only once. For all of these teams that side was Collingwood.
Collingwood played all other top 4 twice and we in 2010.

Keep Buckley, burns, Harvey, Sanderson.

If Josh doesn't kick at least 98 goals in a season I'll consider him to be a miserable failure.
He also needs to bang them in from 80m

It's about more than just "he won a Brownlow".
From the time I made that post, Swan got even bettering 2011.
He kept up that level for years. He finished top 4 in the Brownlow 2010-2013.
He maintained his averages across all areas until struggling with injury in 2014, and then returned to...
I must have been drunk, or in a coma, when Goddard was considered a contender for the number 1 player in the game.
Also you vastly underrated Swam. I would argue he was in the top 2-3 players in the game from 2010-2011
