As long as it's a decent reliable scorer it does not matter. The big benefit is dropping the 22nd best scorer. It's better than any loop.
Bont would be fine he is reliable.
There is no disadvantage playing a great player there.
But if you play a rookie and they score 20 you probably won't...
The 31st player will probably be a rookie I agree.
But it's best to look at that as separate thing from the decision we need to make on who goes into flex.
Flex on its own does not effect cash gen whatsoever.
Flex is all about maximising points.
Ok so let's assume we have 5 rookies on field.
We can loop a few of them to begin with and get a second look.
Or we can play one flex and hope they score more than our 22nd best.
Other option is to play 6 rookies on field and guarantee your 22nd best drops out with a decent flex.
You don't get...
I'm taking 3 rucks one as flex not set on who yet.
Being able to play 2 set and forget and someone like Flynn as well has some attraction.
Flynn being too expensive for the bench is no longer a factor
Nope it replaces your worst score from your 22
Best not think of it like a normal loop. You want a quality player there to replace your worst score
It would be a bit crap to have a 40 replace a 25
We are finally on the mend.
I expect a big jump in wins.
Top 8 is a chance.
I love draft picks they have been good to us. But I agree with the team experience is the most important thing.
I can't wait for round 1
Don't do a rookie.
Say you have 7 on field and you play a rookie your flex ends up sub your stuffed.
If you put a premo in you are guaranteed to remove your lowest score and add a good one.
Forwards seem easy and pretty cheap so taking a top priced guy or 2 maybe easy. Defence I'm struggling with the most. After sheezal not many auto picks
Good question.
I don't have the answer.
Pros he improved through the year and went big in the back half.
Cons
Unsustainable tackle numbers and high frees against.
I'm taking him but I could be convinced either way.
Kerch mid.
Fos hbf
Fisher wing or small forward
All guesswork though nothing much from the club yet.
Kerch is training with the mids. Daniel is training hbf.
Yep just a watch for now like everyone is.
Low possessions was only last year with injury interruptions. His under-age year was good numbers.
Wait and see.
I'm not really planning on taking any of the high priced guys. Wait and see.
Bit of both.
Kerch is flying and will get mid time.
Fish would be an upgrade on our small forwards.
Club hasn't said anything yet but it feels pretty likely.
Clarko has had a bit of success the last few years with this move.
Educated guess.
They have tried him forward before.
It's just with like 5 or 6 guys expected to improve they will have to get the points from somewhere.
It's really common when teams turn from shit to moderately decent the 110 average mids drop back a bit.
I reckon he's a dangerous pick.
Further to my previous post.
North mids likely to improve include
Sheez, wardlaw, Powell, simpkin, Parker, kerch.
All could take points from ldu.
Way too many variables.
Wait for preseason games.
My major worry is that he got lots of points the last 5years as we have been shit.
I expect improvement this year which means he shares more points.
Wait for preseason and check his role.
I think you are misunderstanding.
Sheez is a lock.
But he's a defender only as far as our starting team goes.
The dpp might happen but it's definitely not a certainty.
1/4 of the year will be over before he gets it and he already has defence which is better than mid.
Yep probably.
But d/m is pretty rare. It's not super valuable because of this.
M/f would be better.
It's useful but not really a deal breaker if they haven't even got it yet.
