He will stay in defence all year for me. Mid dpp only really useful for trades
Doesn't the DPP become really helpful during the bye rounds ? .....and we do have a lot of bye rounds this year

Yep probably.
But d/m is pretty rare. It's not super valuable because of this.
M/f would be better.
It's useful but not really a deal breaker if they haven't even got it yet.

We just haven't got used the D/M dpp .
Because we used to F/M dpps.

Dpp very helpful in byes ,cover inj , no trades when one of your guns is rubbed out eg Houston.

For sure but he won't get it until r6 at the earliest.
That misses a bunch of byes.

We should have wookies to Phil inn in the early rounds .
I think you are misunderstanding.
Sheez is a lock.
But he's a defender only as far as our starting team goes.
The dpp might happen but it's definitely not a certainty.
1/4 of the year will be over before he gets it and he already has defence which is better than mid.

Heaps of players priced well under their best averages, but not that many have the good bye –

Sheezle and McKercher will probably be super popular I guess

Wanganeen-Milera too

Not sure about Jordan Clark – haven’t really followed him closely enough

Jayden Short has let me down before but worth some consideration at the price

Holmes, Stewart, Mills, Ridley, Houston all potential good value after their byes

Maybe Sicily too as long as we’re sure he won’t be needed forward

Surprised I’ve seen Tom Stewart in almost no teams. Seems very underpriced.
Bailey Dale is another who represents some value.

Sometimes a throw at the stumps pays off.

I threw Whitfield in last season at the absolute last minute prior to their round 1 clash on nothing other than him only just fitting into my salary cap and by a complete stroke of luck he was a top 3 defender for points overall.

That is completely arse-ing it imo.

Sometimes you just gotta wing it and hope for the best.

Dale is priced at 98 and has gone 100+ precisely once (102).

How much value is he really? Surely in that price range you are looking for kent's that jump up to 105+? Where/how does he do that?

Last 2 seasons he seems to be missing a few games. I know some are suspension but feel like he’s also picking up injuries regularly now. Also round 0.

I agree I wouldn't start him but he did finish the year strong after the bye with 8/11 Tons and 1 game was subbed out.

i think ben paton ($133k) isnt a bad consideration for a rookie spot,

dpp in d/f and is a good footballer whos had a few big injury set backs.

we have a few similar type players, hence he got let go, but may find a nice roll at sydney.

I’ve also had the impression from GEEL games that the Cats are transitioning from Stewart to Zac Guthrie
