Darcy and Reid both likely suspended after this round.. Darcy Wilson maybe favourite for the RS but brings Windsor back into contention if he can have a few more strong games in the back half of the year.

Freo like to chip it around in the back half and use control - they don’t like it if you press up on them. So yeh hopefully Turner pushes towards Pearce and/or Ryan when they have the ball and our small forwards create a bit of chaos ball. If we can do that, our only problem will be scoring...

No disrespect taken MarcMaverick! And it appears you were correct. My thoughts were that we’ve lost some midfield depth and mids are easier to pluck out of the lower leagues. Particularly if we could find one with a bit of run/metres gained and score board impact who might play seniors...

Was gonna mention that we were also trying to package up the best offer for Reid that we could. Anyway, we ended up with Tholstrup and I’m not holding any big concerns about him at this point. Let’s see where he’s at in another year or even 2 years from now.

That move was probably more about knowing that we wouldn’t use our second rounders so there was no point having them. We possibly thought Windsor could be available with the pick at that time as well - no way we made that move because Tholstrup was the specific target.

I reckon we’ll find that this draft was very, very strong in the top 10 or so then falls away a bit. We did try to move this pick on to get higher up the board. I dont think Tholstrup was selected as a match winner. I’m envisaging more of an ANB type role player - which will be fine with me.

The main reason is to negate opposition aerial interceptions. So frustrating that we havnt got anyone else to try.

Apart from the lack of other options to go forward, I reckon TMacs form has contributed to Goody not wanting to throw Petty back this year.
