I'm within range of the leaders, so I need points. Cash doesn't get me anywhere, unless there were obvious bubble players coming up next week. I will still have enough for Franklin next week regardless, so I'd rather take the extra +40 or 50 points from having an extra elite mid. I do appreciate...
Westhoff out for me. I'm sure he'll pull off a few more 100+ games, but Daisy too tasty to ignore. Using the extra cash to go Wines -> Dangerfield in the mids. Could reward me pretty well.
Tex to Daisy. Find another rookie for the Gray trade. Unless he scores 120+, he'll stay fairly close to 300k. I'm thinking I'll do a straight Neade -> Gray swap.
Hmm. I'm so tempted to put Goodes on the chopping block this week. The cash he provides is tasty. But if he goes on to average 100 for the whole season, it will be a dumb idea.
Tough call. I have to make a trade in the back line to avoid a doughnut.
No doubt Robbie Gray is class. Was fantastic a couple of years back. But I do think he is one of these players who does well if his team does well, and fades if they do not. I think Port look really good this year, and I will definitely look at Gray in a couple of weeks time when I'm doing my...
Interesting... didn't think about that aspect... maybe I'll hold onto him for a couple more weeks and see how he goes. Hopefully Harry stays in the forward line.
Should I get rid of Jack Riewoldt? Apparently he's never scored above 70 against Geelong, which is his next game. If that happens, he will drop under 400k in price =/
I'm gonna be falling a LOOOOONG way down from 3rd with my spuddy 2187. Absolutely disgusting from quite a few of my boys. Oh well, was fun while it lasted.
Has he actually had to tag anyone good yet? Unless he's no longer doing the tagging thing, as soon as he gets a gun, his score (and that gun's) will drop significantly.
I'm still gonna stick with Swan VC, Ablett C. Swan will be fired up by Caroline Wilson's stupid comments during the week, and Ablett is... well... God, so yeah.
Gee, I've had to revise my trades since Crouch isn't playing... but I think I'll keep him as my Vice Captain loophole man and trade out Kane Mitchell now!
Unfortunately, I don't have the cash for KMitchell -> Mayes as well as Hanley -> Birchall, so I'm going to take a punt on Taylor Duryea...
I think for me, and where i'm sitting, being able to use the VC loophole is going to be too important to miss out on, so I'm trading Viney to Mayes instead of K. Mitchell to Mayes.
Also gonna straight swap Hanley for Birchall. Too many people have him for me to miss out on him. Hopefully...
Ah man that's exactly how it is though! I need as many different opinions from people as I can get so I can make the most informed decision I can. I really appreciate your thoughts. Trading up to Franklin is extremely tempting!
For me, I'm considering a swap from Hanley to Birchall. Based on what you've said above... do you think it'd be smarter to do the swap to someone like Shaw, and wait for Birchall's price to fall?
One small issue dude - you can't swap Blicavs into the forward line. He's RUC/MID, not RUC/FWD =/ Tried to do the same thing myself a few weeks ago haha.
Preliminary trade thoughts for me... keep in mind I'm only 45 points off the leader, so I need to make season-long decisions.
Hanley -> Birchall.
Viney -> Evans.
Only questions are... is Hanley worth keeping, or do I need to get on Birchall NOW? (I'm leaning towards the latter)
And should I...
