I gave up worrying about what the media thinks of Hawthorn many years ago. Their opinions are irrelevant.

Unpopular? I'll put it this way, Jordan drove his teammates to levels of excellence by demanding more of them. That's what made him a champion, and I'm sure his "aggrieved teammates" still treasure the championship rings Jordan won for them.

And after all that character assassination of Ginnivan, had our final shot gone through, Hawthorn would have won. Please don't give Hinkley credit for winning the game.

Don't give facts to a Port Adelaide supporter, they live in a fantasy world.

Yep, if they need that to motivate them, how are they ever going to prepare for their next final? I seriously worry about people who honestly feel it made a scrap of difference.

Seriously. It was a semifinal, Port Adelaide needed to win, if they needed Ginnivan's tweet to motivate them, they are a pretty sorry bunch. It wouldn't have made a scrap of difference.

What does that mean?

I enjoyed Eddie Maguire's comment tonight that many of the media people criticizing Ginnivan were guilty of far worse behaviour when they played. I have no doubt that's the case. Every time the Hawks rise up the ladder, it seems to send people crazy.

300 games for Hawthorn: Tuck, Matthews, Mitchell, Crawford, Hodge, Langford, Scott, Moore ..... and now Breust. Champions, every single one of them. Only Dunstall, Matthews, Hudson, Moncrieff, Franklin and Roughead have kicked more goals.

I don't believe Hinkley is the problem at Port. Anyone who thinks it's just a matter of appointing a new coach and everything will be fine is kidding themselves. If anything, Hinkley had done a top job getting Port to the finals time and again with what I consider to be a very ordinary list...
