Don’t see anything wrong with what H says there.
No, not saying he’s saying anything wrong. It was more the having so much to say negatively about the club over the last few years (not saying some wasn’t warranted either) then disappears. But the moment we win a flag there he is on the bandwagon.

I’m trying to be more positive than that, and wouldn’t use the term ‘bandwagon’ - but ok, we’re not that far apart in our reaction to H making comment.

I do. He throws a negative cloak over the premiership with his initial comments. If up to me, he would never again set foot in the club. Have loathed the man for years and will do so for evermore. He is just a miserable little opportunist trying to make a name for himself by pretending to be a victim of a culture to which he does not even belong or circumstances that he never actually experienced..

Odd but unsurprising that he felt the need to insert himself after radio silence (besides hatred) for the longest time. Wasn't he disengaging entirely? Or was that before success was apparent? Didn't he want nothing to do with our reconciliation journey?

It is still b/s. If we just count our 9 home MCG games, the average is 71,431. If we add in the finals it gets to around that number. Getting pretty artificial by now.
Counting our home MCG games and the home finals that we earned is just fine by me. The 77,659 average is amazing. It’s just one factor as to why - besides the club itself, the coaching staff and the players obviously, it’s we, us here on BF and the wider Magpie Army - the best barrackers in the AFL - that also really deserved this flag - particularly when considering all the heartbreak and the resulting sh1t we’ve had to cop from opposition supporters over the years.

It just felt so euphoric, so rightful and just (think back to how we were robbed in 2002, and then what happened in 2018), to finally have a close GF (and the other finals leading up) go our way. Now, being a music lover, I actually do most of my posting in the music forum and mostly lurk here, handing out random likes and loves over the past week (I would’ve handed out 20 times more if I had the time to read more). So here’s a song that, despite all the other stuff that’s going on, sorta sums up my mood ever since we secured our 16th flag -

Just watched the third quarter again.
Mark should have been paid to Sidebottom 30 out but umpire claimed the Brisbane kick didn’t travel 15m. Looked long enough to me and when it’s a close call they always pay it if it’s an intercept mark.

Someone on here put a still photo of it up. Definitely over 15m, then the Markov 50 soon after. Bad patch of umpiring for us when we were getting on top.

Yeah that was a wank, because I think there were only two teams who lost those games and kept home ground through finals by finishing top two anyway.

Usually if you’re losing those games, you’re not getting a double chance and HGA… but we were in good shape.

I can't work out why some get paid that look to travel no more than 10m, and others that clearly travel more than 15 get called play on. You would think they should be better judges of distance. Same as running with the ball and bouncing it. They seem to allow 15 steps rather than 15m. Most cover well over 15m when running full tilt. Look how far guys run when kicking out from full back. Some make it nearly to the 50m line with one bounce (Not Adam Saad, who would have about 15 bounces by then) They clearly run more than 15m a lot of the time.

It was a complete and utter wank... an uber-wank. Useless and irrelevant AFL stat #1.
