I watched the last half of the Preliminary Final last night - what a game that was. Easier to watch it now without the dreadful stress. Every single play was a one on one battle. We just kept standing up. So did GWS to be honest; they were massive.

Good Old Collingwood, if there's a way to make winning a GF difficult, we'll find it. They put us through the agony of a draw in 1990. A draw in 2010 and then last year with wins by 7, 1 and 4. Will there ever be another team as worthy of the title, The Kings of the Close Finishes?

Don't know about you, but l get more enjoyment from watching us win close finishes than slaughters. Few weeks back l sat down and watched the last quarter of the qualifying, preliminary and grand final (plus presentations).

Wonderful memories. A great afternoon watching with a big smile on my face.

Close finishes are special when you win them.

I did such a good job of making most of the GF weekend last year going to the parade, the AIA center hours after we won and the again next morning etc, fantastic memories. It is a bit sad wont get to do it again this year, hopefully in 2025

I’ve got Take the Steps, and Collingwood Recall on my Foxtel box. I might do the same with that - probably quite a few times in the off season, to take my mind off not going all the way this year.
