Dixon should have been cited for rough conduct or free kick to Nick, he ran under the ball and didn’t touch it. They call “unrealistic attempt” all the time when players crash into others and don’t touch it.
No. It's the further death of the game if a player was reported for that. Getting the knee up at players in the hole is what you want every big key forward doing. It's just unfortunate that every now and then it will catch someone flush and injure them, but it's a contact sport.

Definitely should've been a free kick though. Vlas had eyes on the ball and Dixon took him out of the contest without ever touching the ball. Was a double-whammy that they kicked a goal directly from the spillage.

Agreed no report but for sure a free.

Yeh would have to see it again as I've forgotten it, but free kick very different from a reportable offence.
Still, such is the game we want to preserve, the big KPF should be crashing the packs and intimidating, Tom Lynch at his best does the same.

Me and the old man just looked at each other when no free was given. Had to be one of the most unbelievable non-decisions in recent history.

I was thinking this the other day, is it careless what Dixon did? How do we know it wasn't intentional? I don't know how long Vlastuin will miss but there's the possibility that he can miss more football than the concussed Brisbane player that Cripps hit. They have to look into things like this because it seems to me that you can actually do what Dixon did with intent and no one will ask any questions about it.

Imagine Lynch did what Dixon did.

Next time we play Geelong I'm hoping for a rib snapper from Lynch to Stewart, it'll be a free hit it seems.

Yeah I’m with you, don’t want to see it reported but definitely should of been a free kick for the unrealistic marking attempt

If Dixon had touched the ball or marked it and Vlossy was injured that’s just tough footy and something we love to see from our own players but the fact Dixon went so early moves it to free kick territory

Difference though is oppo supporters would have been calling for Lynch to be charged with attempted murder!!! Double standards are unbelievable

Also he took a look before lifting the knee, deliberate act, as you say should have been cited at least.

Then nowhere near the ball, definite free for any other team.

Jumping with knees up will defintely be wiped from the game over the coming years. It causes a lot of injuries especially in junior leagues and its an easy one to rule on and get rid of - especially when trying to bring more kids to the game.

Its not a great part of our game having a player like that as a sitting duck to get plowed down - if it was a geniune body clash then I'm ok with it but when the knees are up I have an issue with it. The player standing there is a very soft target and its not a great look. Its part of the game I've never really understood or personally enjoyed for that matter - especially as a defender sitting in the hole!

Having said that - they'll probably make an exception for when you take a speccy!

absolutely nothing wrong with what Dixon did... every key forward should do it...

We weren't whinging when Tommy Lynch opened up a saints players a couple of years ago in a marking comp...
We are not whinging the Tommy Lynch took our Allir Allir on Saturday night...

We are whinging because it happened to one of our players...

Nah just whingeing bc it wasnt a freekick. If it was in the contest and he got a hand to it, its good, tough all round footy

the free kick I agree with...

The "Dixon's a dog"... etc... pathetic
Not saying that was you byt he way, can't be bothered looking who it was

Was my pick for captain. But wtf do any of us know about the players true character traits. Stood up in the final when many fell flat on their faces. Grimes fair enough. Dunno how Nank was chosen ahead of him 🤔

Maybe he didn’t want it so didn’t put himself forward for the role
