Sold out sunshine.

What I don't understand is that one Census night, hundreds of thousands of people filled in a census online for no problem, and yet Ticketmaster, who has a Census like influx every other day, can't build a website which doesn't **** itself?!!!???!

Not all of us can down tools for work and go and hang out at a ****en booth!

Hmm well that ain't the end of the world, Clapton tickets go on sale Monday.

Will be just as good :)

Took the time to line up, and i got 2 lawn tickets. Apparently the seats sold out in like 2 minutes.

got tickets!!! w00t stoked! of cos it helps to have a friend who works at ticketmaster :D
otherwise would have lined up, not taken a chance with phone or internet.

i've read a lot of angry and disappointed posts on some other forums of people who missed out. The Melb show sold out in 50 minutes.

Hopefully Tool add some more shows in Melb and Syd or come back for another tour like they did for Lateralus cos the BDO is ****.
Although i'll be going to the BDO just for T00L!!!! first time since 1998 too

My mate got tickets today:thumbsu: lucky i made him go and not trying the phone and net. I heard the seating was pretty much sold out b4 the outlets opened.
Did anyone see that idiot from that ebay link trying to sell the "silver" lawn tickets for $900. Seriously if anyone pays that they need to be shot. I have no inside news, But I am fairly certain there will be more shows, why else would they schedule them a week apart. unless they are doing the BDO in that time. Anyway there will be more shows.

Shattered!!!

Dunno what I am going to do. I would pay 300 for a ticket now, probably 600 as it gets closer. Seriously, in the week before I would probably hit far stupider numbers.

How many blokes would I need to just swamp security and stroll in? ****en Myer Music bowl. Who's idea was that!?!?!

****!!!!!!!!!

No.

So, what's the plan Carlos? I reckon we organise a scalper meeting, beat the piiss out of him and take his tickets.

That's all I have.

I was absolutely spewing I couldn't get tickets - from 9.02am to the time I actually could get onto the site, sold out.

Only brightside is they will:
a. Sell more tickets later (change the fencing arrangements
b. Like Pearl Jam a few years ago, I can't see the fences staying up all night in Melb at least;)

Interesting very interesting.

I will say I like the new CD, for Songs which go for so long its a very easy CD to listen to, the songs don't appear to take as long as they are said to run.

I think the album is brilliant. I really can't understand Tool fans not liking it so much. I can understand some turnip who plays a new CD and if he doesn't like it after the first listen throws it to the bottom of his pile but this album demands quiet a few listens. Hell Tool albums get better after a few months of listens IMO. I'm still finding interesting things on Lateralus FFS.

Tool fans love the album.

In fact no real Tool fan could not like an album that contains Wings for Marie/10,000 days, lost keys/rosetta stoned and Jambi (all up 41 minutes of music just there). these are up there will Tool's best work ever. and are perfect examples of everything that Tool is and has ever been. beautiful, crazy, vulnerable, powerful, masculine, femminine.

and not even mentioning the pot and vicarious which are both very good.

So whose gonna be smashing those fences down tomorrow night? I'll be there with my ticket happily drunk and stoned but if I didnt get my ticket I would definitely be jumping that fence. Seriously, the music bowl is the easiest venue to bust into, ever. Hope to see a swarm.

My sentiments exactly...... I remeber seeing Pearl Jam there in 95 and the fences came tumbling down..... I expect no less tonight.

I too had no ticket until last night. We have a friend who is paraplegic and there are always tickets for the disabled area of any show, he gets one and a carer gets in for free. So my mate who already has one dished it off to me and he is going into the disabled area and will take the carer ticket.

Woot, I believe is the appropriate term........

I feel for every person that hasn't got a ticket, up until last night I didn't have one and it hurt, it hurt like hell....!

Still don't have one. Dogupya's situation is an interesting one.

Carlos, how attached are you to having movement in your legs?

I am post coital!

Worth paying a scumbag scalper just to see Rosetta Stoned, Wings and the idiot climb the canopy.

They play songs flawlessly, that mortals would completely ******** up! And you wouldn't hold it against them if they stuffed up slightly here or there, but it's album perfect.

Drum sound was better at the BDO and Maynard is not in peak vocal health. Maybe it's the outdoor thing, but I'd have turned it up two notches from 11 to 13.

Three votes tonight go to Justin Chancellor. Legend.

And honourable mention to Maynard for slipping in a Dave Chapelle's Lil John during Stinkfist!

A-What?.....OK!!

Gold!! :D

lol that's awesome. :)

But it aint' neccessarily a dave chappelle thing, lil jon does that stuff in real life mate.
