Player Watch #10: Colby McKercher - R9 AFL RS nom - goes bang w/ 37d on his return vs GCS

His performance in the last VFL game didn’t demand a call up. Got plenty of it, but the composure fell away as the game went on. He looked pretty cooked by the q4. Obviously there’s an elite player there, but I’d rather he’s cherry ripe and oozing confidence when he returns.
My gut feeling is he would still be an upgrade on a couple of players, if he came in this week.

Surely, he comes in this week. The absence of Wardlaw resulted in a distinct lack of “zing” in our team at the weekend. Colby will supply that. On my way to the game on Saturday, I looked at our line-up. I, honestly, felt a bit flat, as we looked quite bland. It’s a minor detail, I know. However, LMac, Scott, Shiels, Tucker, Pink and Teakle is one or two too many meh players to be fielding. Colby and, the following week, Wardlaw, changes that up completely.
