MSR with two guys from Sydney (Former NRL player Jamie Soward, and motoring journalist Trent Nikolic) had more discussion on the GF than SEN.
Had plenty of talk after 12 as well
This has bugged me for years.
For months and months and months, each and every day, SEN and AW devote copious amounts of time to the game we love.
We can't get enough of it, yet the very next day after the Grand Final, they pretend it never happened and we're straight into the off-season and snoresville..
ABC are OK, but used to be better with a replay and break-down of the game in the afternoon. For some reason they've ditched that this year (from what I can tell.
For the life of me I don't get why SEN have every AFL specialist they have to break down the game, the season, the highlights etc. etc. Go full on from Noon until 6 with crossovers to the parties, interviews all over the place, etc. etc.

reallyy? interesting. Soward does enjoy afl. Not an expert but seems to have a basic grasp and knows the key players. I like it when spots hosts delve into sports they arent pros at

I might be in the minority, but after the final siren goes in the Grand Final (unless my teams wins) I don’t give a toss. The season’s over and I don’t want to hear more until the trade stuff actually begins.

This might sound tough, but I reckon that someone like Hutcho, who's worked in footy for about 30 years, and claims he was a massive Geelong fan when he was young, should've known that Geelong won the 1952 flag. He didn't know it on Off The Bench when then mentioned the Grand Final debutante in that year. "Geelong? Really? Are you sure? Are you sure it wasn't Collingwood?"

That sort of thing bugs me. When Jeff White did his This Is Your Sporting Life interview with Peter Donegan, the subject of Melbourne's premiership drought was discussed, and White said something like, "..yes, the long-suffering supporters who haven't seen a Flag since 1956.." WTF?

Me too....I grew up in a Geelong mad family. I was "technically" at the '51 (mum was pregnant) and '52 GF's I was also at the '63 then '89 GF's........I became a Brissy Bear in '95
If you are a real supporter, you know when your team has won flags......a poor effort, although I thought it odd the morning after Cats got knocked out of this years finals that Hutchy was skimming over the loss but Pickers was having a go at him saying cmon, you follow them too or words to that affect.
He just didn't seem to care at all.

Even tho some people didn’t like them thought Stephen J Peak and Howard Leigh were quite good on Saturday nights got a few laughs along the way like the overnights with Parkin Cooney and Jack Richter were entertaining but with Fat Guts Hutchinson looking to play a million ads and needing the $$$ the overnights are crap now
The next ratings are out tomorrow morning. I expect them on here by the time I wake up
