Dave statue I have zero athleticism Astbury is done. You've been a great servant but the game has passed you son.

I agree.

Tonight is the first night I have really noticed it. He has the turning circle of an oil tanker, slow and doesn't have any penetration on his kicks. Has been a solid FB for us, but time to look at the magoos.

1. He's not a ruckman.
2. He's always been slow, but that's OK because the opposition usually have a big lump in the forward line for him to play on - and he's good one-on-one.
3. Hipwood, Mcstay, Daniher? - Dave couldn't keep up with any of them.
4. He's not a ruckman.
5. We still need him - Balta is physically fine, but not experienced enough. Grimes and Broad are both still very good, but a bit under-sized.

I can't understand why Dave is copping it he was out of position FFS he is no ruck just like Balta isn't , disrupts the defence should of played on a big forward. That's on Dimma for me stubbornness not playing a second tuck.

dave will be fine once our mids return and our backline resumes normal structure

Rumours about him pulling the pin at the end of this season had been going around for a while

Absolute champion player, team mate and essential cog in our back 6 that was regarded as one of the best defensive groups the comp had ever seen

Thanks Dave for being involved in our three premierships. I would never have imagined it with all your injuries early on. Thanks for making my dream come true in Richmond winning at least one flag and you were part of three. Good luck with whatever you pursue in doing in the future.

What an absolute legend Dave has been for our clubs turn around and success! Was a true leader in driving the standards of our culture and professionalism all the way
Will be sorely missed
Great career Dave 😍🎉👊
