Not sure where Jy's footy is at. Didn't really feel like we missed him today and I'm more excited by some of the other guys getting more time on ball. He's been our most predominant on baller this season, wouldn't mind seeing him rotated through the wing and half forward a bit more often going forward

Needs to go the Angus Brayshaw route and run his tail off on a wing

Any reports on how he’s tracking after the late withdrawal?
Jy, JHF, Greenwood and Cunners collectively puts a big hole in our contested ball capabilities if all of those are out.
He’s a confirmed in as per yesterday’s interview
No more symptoms and tightness

I wonder if/when we will see much of Jy on the wing.

It's crazy to think that he may not be in our preferred optimal midfield rotation (for me that's Cunners - LDU - JHF, which is no insult to Jy) and he has been carrying such a huge load for a long time. I reckon the space would do him good.

He was more of an outside player as a kid so I don’t mind it. Wouldn’t mind seeing him in the high half forward role like Gray once our midfield gets stronger.

He’s a good mid but he could be great if he didn’t have to crash in every contest. We’d see a lot more of those dancing feet that’s for sure.

One of the worst games I've seen him play.

Got his hands on it 21 times and ballsed at least 15 of them disposals up. Fumbly as **** and simply gives up when beaten...

If he is the standard of centre square midfielders, then blow the place up. We are done.

He cleans up the blind kicks ala what Cripps did on Thursday night and he'll be a star.

What Carlton showed on Thursday night, considering they have players in there who were perennial hackers in the past - they dished it around by hand before releasing a teammate who almost every time hit a leading forward on the chest. And this is from inside the center square not a stoppage.

Overall both midfield and forwards are to blame. We got duck all out of CCJ, TT, Zurhaar and Stephenson and the midfield bombed it in there because it was the land of the living giants.

The cohesion for our delivery inside 50 is going to take a while to click. Theres a balance. I realise this side is young and theyre gelling together and on the otherhand if they dont train like that during the week then why play like that on the weekend.

Plenty of work to do.

Analyse his first 2 weeks. How's he going?

He was borderline reckless with the ball in hand. He performed errors at will and his clearance work was extremely poor for a an AFL midfielder.

We won the clearances by 7 yet got burnt by 80 points from turnovers. What’s the point in bombing it out of the middle when it slingshots just as quickly the other way.

Nothings changed.

Not saying we would have won the game but if he expects to be a long term centre square midfielder he needs to clean up his disposals. He can’t continue to be this reckless. It’s killing us.

Just seems down on confidence.

Seemed to be getting to the wrong spots being forced on his opposite foot and when he was in space, didn't seem to be on point either at all.

He still does some nice things but for a B&F winner, he is not playing anywhere near what his previous year was.

Perhaps needs a spell?

He’s been the main man in the middle for almost two years, something he was never meant to be. Has shouldered lots of load and done a lot of minutes in the middle. For a smaller bodied mid, it’s gotta take a toll

The lack of depth he gets on his kicking also hurts us.
Ziebell when he used to bomb it forward Atleast got it in deep inside 50.
Simpson as well before him.
Jy isn’t barely breaching the 50 meter perimeter and we’re getting destroyed hard going the other way.
It’s actually impossible to defend.
