Can anyone tell me if Crameri injured himself on Saturday night?
I didn't see any incident, however I remember at the game, seeing on the screen images of Crameri on the bench in the last quarter talking to Doc Reid, seemed to be regarding his knee, and seemed a little dejected (although perhaps that was just exhaustion). I don't remember seeing him coming back on to the ground. I also couldn't see him anywhere on the field after the game when all of the other players were handing out footies to the crowd.

Since then I haven't heard/seen anything of it so didn't think anything more of it. Until I saw a match report in the paper having Crameri as having injured his knee. Can anyone shed any light?

Dejection was from not being able to make it 10 goals ;)
Injury was "just a small ping" apparently didn't feel it again, they took him off as a pre-cautionary thing, as there's no point in losing a KPF in a game where you're already 110 points up.

so was just thinking about how good stew is today...

Crameri's first 2 seasons* yielded 66 goals 52 behinds from 38 games, just to put that in some sort of perspective...

Lance Franklin 52.22 (34 games)
Jack Riewoldt 50.35 (38 games)**
Jack Darling 77.36 (47 games)
Mark Lecras 59.27 (30 games)***
Taylor Walker 57.47 (32 games)
Travis Cloke 16.28 (30 games)

*I'm disregarding the 3 games under knights in 2010 as he didn't play as a permanent forward.
** Did play 8 games for 7 goals in the previous season.
***Played 6 games for 7 goals in the previous 2 seasons before breaking out in 2007.

Just putting those numbers out there, but is he the best medium forward in the game?

Continuing to progress, even with many opposition fans thinking he would be worked out by now. A little strange that Hurley has been out best forward, yet it's Crameri that kicks all the goals - they work beautifully.

Stew's a bit older than those blokes though in the first two seasons. More developed.

Looks like his worked on his set shots over the summer. Going to be very hard for opposition teams to find a match up for him.
Some teams have great match-ups for him, like Collingwood have Brown, Brisbane have Patfull, West Coast have Schofield

There is that, and I guess its correlated by Lecras' stats. But I don't think he had played much forward, if at all before Hird threw him down there, it definitely helps that he was more physically developed, but he also had to learn a new craft.

He actually played his entire junior career there

Thought he was a midfielder...shows how much i know.

needs to improve his set shot though

Problem here is he looks deceptively slow, but we've seen him run the legs of some very fast sprinters. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the fastest runner in our team. That makes it very difficult for any team to match up with him - it would take one of their very fast runners.

Slightly off topic, but...
John Coleman 220 goals (40 games).

The man could play..!
