Why on earth would we play him down back? His one (and maybe only?) wood is in the middle, where he added a lot to our team early.
It was a stupid joke, because we play people out of position, and up until last week ignored an in form Baldwin.

edit: And have ignored him (Baldwin) again.

Reckon you can trace the breaking point of the season back to Will’s foot break.

Yes we’ve won games after but without the same balance and method in the middle.

Would have been a great fireblanket on Tom Green today.

It makes no sense not to play him after 20 odd in the VFL 2 weeks ago unless he is injured
They thought he was one game short. Yes he had a decent game but he still needed the run. I think they are right in this instance but where wrong when doing it with Shiel and now Stringer which Scott admitted to in his press conference last night.

The VFL bye was bad timing too.

I say, don't risk him against the Pies, get him cherry ripe over summer.

If he wasn't fit enough it makes sense but as you said, it should be the way with all players. After a good VFL game, more training and being named an emergency the last 2 weeks youd assume he was right to go

I do not get carried away with being named emergency. For some reason lots of players get named emergency that never play.

Had a couple of moments but that is him. Thought he was okay at 72% game time. Tough ask to come back into the side for the last game and the side is already shot.

Thought our best footy was early in the year when he was a big part of the midfield. Midfield group looked more balanced with his ability to both stick and absorb tackles. Persevere.

As an aside….can’t help but think his frame could handle another 3-4 kg. Anyway, he seems strong enough regardless.

Solid 4 quarter effort. I believe he is probably the most underrated player we have on our list. He has good disposal skills he is also defensive with his tackling pressure and uses his bigger frame to advantage and great endurance. He has no hesitation in pushing forward and seems to be an intelligent footballer. I really like him.

I continue to see him as one of the top 5 most important to the team. Gun.

How does the board rate his kicking? I think (thought?) of him as that typical strong bullocking/blocking/tackling presence around stoppage that makes a huge difference in our midfield, but that type of player generally isn't the most skilled operator so I assumed he wasn't great by foot.

I can't remember many glaring turnovers, does he always default to the safe sideways options or is he a better kick than I thought?

He's not a great kick, but is usually reliable.
