Re: Taylor Walker

In my opinion he would get a run in the NAB Cup just to give him a rough idea of what is required to play against AFL players and then he'll likely spend most of the year in the SANFL. Can't see him jumping from the Broken Hill league to the AFL as a bottom ager, but that is all up to how he develops physically and how he adjusts to the higher level of the SANFL.

So far he has adapted well to playing higher levels when jumping from Broken Hill up to TAC Cup or Div 2 Championships, so that's a good sign. But the biggest jump is still to come and I won't be phased if he doesn't play in 2008 as this year will be an important development year for him.

Re: Taylor Walker

How important will the SANFL draft be with the allocation of the new recruits..... Westies a chance to learn under Collins hopefully South at his age waht will Jack be able to really teach and the club is very volatile these two clubs could make or break the enthusiasm and confidence of any juniors ??????

Isn’t Michael Pettigrew from West Perth and Jarrod Rivers originally from North Adelaide?

Dont forget Matt Taylor Barrie for Glenelg and Brady Roberts for Norwood

Re: Taylor Walker

Scholarship presumably, and the answer is no. I remember reading part of the rule that said you have to have lived in the Scholarship area for a certain amount of time prior to getting the Scholarship.

By moving to South Australia that would make them ineligible for one.

Re: Taylor Walker

Peter Rivers was a tough one at Central and moved to Port Augusta with work and JoHn Pettigrew was a hard man from South and he moved to Perth.
Both boys do have family from BH

Re: Taylor Walker

Hey, can some one post a big list of every player from broken hill that is in the SANFL and also the players from here who play in the AFL,
if thats ok and if anyone has it

Re: Taylor Walker

Its just a number, 13 isn't really bad luck.

No I agree, wasn't implying anything there. Ben Hudson carried it well, so heres hoping all goes well for Taylor :thumbsu: Would he be starting pre season training today? Or would the Club ease him slowly into it..?
