Decided to work with a national level steeplechase group in the preseason at the beginning of the year to improve his tank and it allowed him to take his game to another level.

If he continues leaving no stone unturned, he'll make something of himself.

My issue is his lack of composure. He's aggressive and loves the hard stuff but he's a bit too prone to throwing it on the boot and getting it forward at all costs. If he can learn to compose himself and use his body and athleticism to buy himself time, and maybe learn to carry the ball from inside to outside, we'll be laughing.

For pick 57, he's certainly worth a shot.

Luke 'Mark 'Gav' Blicavs' Urquhart

Has some wheels on him and already looks a very solid unit. Disposal, yeah, can see why he went high, but also think we are finally in a position where we can justify having a less clean player in. I think we have a very, very clean batch of players that have been made to look worse due to our running issues and inexperienced bodies tiring early. Sheezel, McKercher, Duursma, FOS, Powell, Philips - those are all very, very clean players in and around the contested part of the ground. LDU is pretty clean as well outside of the odd issue kicking into F50. We can afford a lightning fast truck that hits hard.

I mean, even this looks like a shank.

But regardless, looks like he’s got some great attributes. Look forward to him throwing his body around contests in the VFL next year.
It really does. My concern is that they took 40 shots and this was the best kick they could get.

Hands are fine.

His kicking is very inconsistent, capable of being reasonable, but often seems very rushed.
He had a major hip injury, was a significant rehab job and effort to overcome it. He's had to relearn how to kick the footy. Its why his kicking action looks awkward and kind of robot like.

Simple solution - don't let him kick the ball all pre-season. Any time he has the ball in hand, he has to give it to Harry or Finn. No exceptions.

There doesn't seem to be much wrong with his kicking mechanics, he just seems rushed. I reckon there's a lot to work with there, if it was the other way around I'd probably be more concerned. Do you see him capable of playing anywhere other than inside mid? Just thinking he seems very physical, could be be a pressure forward?
