Fyfe and Cripps are shit kicks.
Simpkin is a shit kick and handballer.

There is room for one average kick in a midfield, provided he is a contested beast, can handball, and can run.

Even though there is evidence to the contrary down at Arden St, there is no reason a professional footballer can’t improve his kicking to an acceptable level. Just needs constant work and playing to your strengths.

He’s going to be a bit of a beast when he hits the gym……look fwd to watching him grab this opportunity

Cunnington was a "shit kick" and was one of the best inside mids I have seen play the game, Ben knew his limitations, he could hit short targets by foot consistently so when he went by foot he preferred the short kick and he was a super kick going inside the forward 50 when he had time and space.

I think if he plays to his strengths he could be a very good player, our biggest issue right now is we have guys who couldn't hit the side of a barn yet they feel they have the license to rain Hail Mary kicks into our forward 50 and it just comes right back out with interest.

We need more smarter players, everyone has pros and cons it is the players who do not expose their weaknesses at every opportunity that can become great players.

Cunners was one of the best one step kicks for goal.

Lol no he wasn't. Was never a shit kick predraft.
Mate we talking about a different Ben Cunnington?

98 goals 48 behinds

Got better as he got older to the point he took the piss with his one step kicks later in his career.

I remember arguing with Knightmare in 2021 about this issue and then we played and beat west coast in Perth as cunners was laser cutting one step passes to all and sundry. Knightmare even acknowledged he was wrong.
