Just a few thoughts:

1. Jarrad Grant will become a 50+ goal, defensive, running, midfield throwing beast...

2. Nathan Djerkurra wants out at the cats; could he be a handy pick up as we lack crumbing forwards?

3. The decision to keep Nathan Eagleton on for another year was indeed a very good one, but keeping "he who must not be named" and Brad Johnson was not.

4. If Chris Knights is available, we should attempt to get him, to provide an extra forward option.

5. Liam Jones should be dropped for finals.

6. Andrejs Everitt will request a trade (hoping he doesnt).. what do we try and get for him?

7. If we could get Daniel Motlop.. do we?

Injuries can happen to anyone at any time, if that's what you're talking about. Johnno only got injured just before the NAB cup. Before that his form was very good and everyone was saying he'd go on forever. Even Akrimonious had a good year onfield last year.

I'd be happy for Eagle to go on in 2011.

5. Liam Jones should be dropped for finals.

To be replaced by... ? We're running out of options.

1. I agree he will become an excellent player for us.

2. Maybe, depends what we give up for him though.

3. I agree

4. I'm not too familiar with Knights so I have no opinion

5. Yes, except who comes in for him?!?

6. Hope he doesn't too, if he does leave we should get something decent as he is and will become a good player.

7. No

1. Yes
2. Haven't seen enough to pass judgement
3. Yes
4. Will be helpful for depth
5. Needs smarts. Can't question his endeavour but he goes to ground too often and gets caught out of position. No other option though
6. If we lose him I'm blaming it entirely on Eade
7. No

you do not want daniel motlop.. You have no idea how bad that would be!!

hes not worth the ground he walks on!!

Motlop is a bad idea. I think you'd wanna scrap that thought.

Sorry no offence, but I think that even though Eagleton has been playing well the last few weeks, I really don't want to see him on the club's list next year. I don't think he will be up to standard needed next year from a veteran of his experience on top of the fact that we will have Sam Reid coming back in as well as Wallis who can play his position (so I have been told).

Agree with you on Liam Jones. We need another tall definetly to stretch Collingwoods backline, unless we play Everitt in his role.

He will be a gun.... book mark it... The question will be whether the dogs can hang onto him when he's developed as a player. All the makings of another Buddy with a few more kilo's.

3. The decision to keep Nathan Eagleton on for another year was indeed a very good one

Eagle is a reciever, but he does what he's there to do.. Kick a few goals.. If he is fit and can run, its not a bad thing playing for another year.. I'd rather have him there over Hahn.. Hahn did try on Sat night and didnt play too bad, but ran out of puff and struggled to finish the match.

7. If we could get Daniel Motlop.. do we?

I'd rather see Akermanis offered a new contract than to see Motlop at the club.

1. Don't get ahead of yourself. He will be a handy forward but he's not Pavlich.

2.Rather Chris Knights. Proven goal kicker who will win games off his own boot. Djekerra?? haven't seen him under pressure to know.

3.No it wasn't. The finals are when it counts and i can't see his outside game being of much use there.

4. See 2. Definitely. Does Harbrow want to go to Adelaide?

5.Unfortunately yes- had his nose broken last week and is low on confidence. If Minson plays we can use him up forward and Murphy, Everitt are good leading options.

6.If he wants out shouldn't stop him. He sounds keen on St Kilda who have lots of excellent young smalls on the fringe. a Jack Steven, Armitage or Jarryn Geary type would be a good trade for both teams.

7. Are you serious?

1. Will be a very good/great player. Was wrapped to draft him at the time and am wrapped that we have given him game time this year.

2. No, lets not go the reject strategy. Have a look at the Geelong forum to get an accurate assessement of how good he is.

3. You win some you lose some. Don't look back in anger.

4. No, lets use the draft instead of trading.

5. Depends on injuries and who we play.

6. His market value last year was pick 22-23(That is what Eade would have taken for him last year). Not sure if his value has gone up since then or not. Personally I wouldn't trade him, but I can see the club putting him up for trade yet again or maybe he will want to go of his own accord.

7. If you could put Matthew Boyds brain into Daniel Motlops ability, you would have the greatest forward ever. Unfortunately it is not possible, so you are left with the real Daniel Motlop who is lazy, unfit, not caring, undisciplined, inconistent, not a team player and with heaps of personal problems and baggage. So personally, I would give him a wide birth.

1. He will become a crucial target up forward for us over the next decade along with Liam Jones.

2. Don't see the need to pick up anymore experienced players when players such as Timmy Callan can't get a game in our team and left the same club as Djukerra for the same reasons.

3. Yes, purely because we have a massacre of injuries.

4. No. As per point 2. Plus with our first 2 draft picks being used on Libba and Mitch Wallis, we won't have any attractive draft picks for the Crows.

5. I agree. But who is going to replace him? Our stocks are very limited at the moment with injuries so I would simply persist with him as another tall option down forward. It may possibly relieve Grant and Bazza as a 3rd tall defender will need to ensure they account for Liam rather than double teaming Baz.

6. If he maintains his spot throughout the finals (which he will of course) I dont see why he would want to leave. With Johnno possibly hanging up the boots it may create an opportunity for him to play a permanent role.

7. NO!
