None of them would be best 22 in a better than mediocre team.
They finished 8th and 3 games off the next best in the home and away season and in fact closer to 12th than 7th. Added to that, who they actually defeated and at what stage of the season they defeated them.North finished eighth, meaning they're better than a mediocre team (in an eighteen-team league). You don't think Colyer's getting a run there?
To be honest, I am finding it really difficult trying to put him in the best 22. I personally don't rate him as an a-grade footballer but he does have 1 quality we need - leg speed.North finished eighth, meaning they're better than a mediocre team (in an eighteen-team league). Except he is only going to get slower and he showed signs of it this year.To be honest, I am finding it really difficult trying to put him in the best 22. I personally don't rate him as an a-grade footballer but he does have 1 quality we need - leg speed.
He is talking about Colyer, not Dempsey.Except he is only going to get slower and he showed signs of it this year.
Forgive me for thinking that we were talking about Dempsey in the Dempsey threadHe is talking about Colyer, not Dempsey.

Hams, kommer miss out imo

Not sure what 'using very few words' has to do with his football. He's one of the poster boys for our age of mediocrity.I dont think Dempsey is lazy, laconic maybe, but not lazy. We could do worse than keep him on the list
Laconic, perhaps in the context of 'precise' and 'looking effortless', although I wouldn't apply it to Dempsey. Not sure what 'using very few words' has to do with his football. He's one of the poster boys for our age of mediocrity.
The way he turns the ball over is precise and looks effortless.Laconic, perhaps in the context of 'precise' and 'looking effortless', although I wouldn't apply it to Dempsey.
A word that tends to apply more commonly to Langford I think, whom I wouldn't call lazy or mediocre. Although that's a topic for another thread. The way he turns the ball over is precise and looks effortless.
Yes okay, my bad.

He has turned up to pre-seasons overweight. He was suspended for partying when he was supposed to be recovering from an injury. He loves the Club, but the 100% commitment to his profession hasn't been there (in my personal opinion).
I think that was his joke mateWe say this every year.
